Do what you're most comfortable with, after all, what you're doing is for your own fun right? not for the happiness of others, so to speak.

What you want comes before what ANYONE else wants.

I know, but EVERYONE likes her mane this way. I'll fuse them together some how. I know, magic.

I....LOVE it! The mane looks great. In fact, the whole thing looks great. The only thing that jumped out at me were the front legs. I think they may be a bit too skinny.

It looks fine overall to me, excellent even.
The only thing I can spy that is off is the neck and torso. As the pony looks up, the torso and next should squeeze and contort to match the pose.
Like for example here, if the torso is that straight, then the neck should be straighter in the front as well to match it, where as is the torso were bent a little bit to create the upward angle, then the next could remain at this angle.

It's great looking, but it looks as if she's using her hooves to push her entire posture backwards instead of raising her head.
But my word, that hair, I can't draw hair that well ever.

Well I've only ever drawn one pony so this is just based on um, instinct, I guess? Anyway...

-Definitely agree with Yami, the first thing I noticed were the front legs too, they need to be a bit beefier.
-The position of the all four legs relative to each other is also a bit off. The legs in the foreground are closer together than the legs at the back, try moving her back-right leg forwards like you've done with her front legs.
-The ear makes her head look a little big, I think it needs to be moved up and forwards a tad.
-Also on the ear, that small line in the center, try moving it further up along the line it's connected to and make it longer so it follows the left side of the ear more closely. (note: I have no idea if this will actually make it look better or not)
-The furthest right line of her mane (going from ear to curl), seems too far to the right where it ends at the curl, looks like it should connect more to the left roughly near the top-right bend of the curl.

That was really hard trying to describe what lines I was talking about, hopefully it's clear enough, I'm used to just pointing to things with my finger followed by, "This line here." :derpe:

@yami, make legs fatter, got it. I thought they looked to skinny. Drawing with no sleep blurs my vision a little.

@zephyr, I actually drew it like she was pushing herself up. So does that mean that since that was the case it's good as is?

@doggy, once again make the front legs fatter. Made redo the ear line. Move a bunch of small lines, got it. Her mane made me crazy, I just drew that line to work on something else. I shall fix it though. Sorry can't type much, at work.

But seriously guys, thank you. It more help then you think.

Huzzah, thank you good sir. And thank you on adorable Platinum, I'm allowed to call her that because someone else called her it first.

What do you guys think of the rear legs, honestly I thought they look like horrible and an insult to Rarity.

I thought something looked odd about them, but I couldn't pick out what it was :/

EDIT: Actually, maaaybe, try making them a bit shorter (As in squashing them down a bit / bring her body closer to the ground) and extend the top line of her leg to the right a bit more beyond where it joins with the curved line. Just a tiny bit though.

    I hope that makes sense.

They were shorter at one point, but then it made it seem like her legs were really short. I noticed myself that I have to lower her or rise her legs to make it look right. I'll mess with them in the morning, if I can manage to stay awake for more then 3 minutes.

    May I share my opinion.
Overall nothing wrong on the rarity drawing. Anything you feel that may need some adjustments go ahead and change it.

As for platinum, do what you want everybody says it looks great, go along with it.

I know things needed changing, that's why I asked.

As for Platinum, I'll just fiddle with her mane when I see if, that might even become apart of her. The teacher pony that changes manes every few weeks. Unicorns have all kinds of magic, I'm sure I could work it in.

Whoa, thats awesome. The body is done very well methinks.

Indeed maybe the front legs could be a little fatter, but I wouldn't have noticed that if it weren't for the other guys mentioning it.

Look forward to see how it turns out.

Thank you for your input, make legs fatter, that's easy.

I can't wait to try and color her mane, it drove me insane to just do the lines. I can only imagine what the coloring will be like.

@rain, thank you. Anything you think could be changed.

you know, legs are a little bit to get. They are even hard for me to draw :)

Platinum's ones are great. Maybe you could expand a bit the front legs, that's my point of view :)

Pony legs are a huge pain for me, along with side view. So why I chose a side view for this I'll never know.

You said Platinum's legs, you mean that old picture I drew awhile back.
