Generally a list thread for people going about their business with projects. Personally I'll be using this as an updating thread with my progress but by all means advertise what you got going on if you think I can help out or something. I'm busy with my own stuff but... let's face it. None of us truly have a deadline to work for. Right now I'm doing the following: 1.This day Aria parody-on hiatus until I get the singers to do this. Basically it parodies the original song and it involves a princess Luna under the nightmare moon persona (who with Discord magic's) has allied with the God of disharmony and rallied the New Lunar Republic to war. Hearing this news Celestia investigates with the main 6 leaving princess Luna (queen chrysalis) in charge of equestria. Upon realising that Luna is with Discord Celestia rushes back to Canterlot with an army after her head following right behind and the Equestrian royal guard mobilising under Luna's orders towards the charging rebels. 2. Now that I have made the basic scenario for prelude. My war for Equestria project is now about to go into the prologue stage where the above events from start to finish (unlike the song) unfold. However I'm still conceptualising the whole plot of this arc. I have the ending, the climax but I've yet to develop prelude enough to form the beginning. 3. As such I am going to write "Coronation day". A present War for Equestria story involving Trixie the 69th and Twilight Sparkle the great and powerful. Basically on the 12 month and the 25th day of the Equestrian calendar the war for Canterlot ceases for a day so that the champions of each kingdoms fight it out to the death in an epic duel at its gates. The Victor not only receiving great accolades but regaining an artifact of Equestria under the possession of the other side for use in the war. No soldier of either side will interfere because to join the skirmish is suicide. And on that day, entry to the city is barred by a strange seal making victory pointless as no one ever takes control of canterlot for more than one day. Ancient grudges are referenced and important background is given and frankly. I'm gonna love writing about a magical duel between the 2 greatest Mages of the war. 4. I've finished recording my parody of smile smile smile (die die die) but I will never acknowledge it as finished unless I do it oerfectly or get someone to do so. 5. click my sig to join my group specifically for NLR vs SE stories. It doesn't have to be my fanon (even though I think I think its epic), so long as its war between those 2 factions or something related to said conflict. But I'd love other writers to fill in the blanks I purposely leave. The fanon is a very open world with very vague fluff for creative freedom. Go nuts.

you mean that state where everyone gets white eyes and glowy? I think a good twist for you to use ~(i'm referencing buddhist mythology) is the concept of nirvana. Where when one reaches enlightenment and becomes pure light to then explode into rainbows to join the cosmos. Hence it is illegal to go into that state since you technically die from it. And taught at magic school to never rely on it.

Ohai! This thread attracted me, since it had the word "list" in the title. I love lists. Fanfictions Finish writing "Magyck", my HiE story. Description: A teen named Brandon gets teleported to Equestria on accident by one of his father's crazy inventions. He loses his memory, as well. At the same time, something bad is going on that no one can explain. I only know the general direction this fic is headed in, and I don't want to give too much away. Finish writing "Applejack Winona Smith", my MLP/Hitchiker's Guide crossover one shot. Description: Applejack experiences a disaster, and an unexpected visitor doesn't help. Start writing unnamed Zecora story. Zecora doesn't get enough fanfics. Thinking about giving her a background, as Hasbro has decided not to. Well, there's my list. I can't draw much (teaching myself to draw ponies at the moment, it's a slow, painful process watching all the ponies I try to draw get mutilated beyond recognition), and I haven't tried making pony music yet.
Music Black metal/Hardstyle Project. - might be separate projects, will try merging them. I would like to capture the eerie, rebellion-against-good-sound type of vibe that Darkthrone, Mayhem, or Burzum portrayed. I'm going to need more vocal practice if I'm going to record myself. Soft metal project. - Came up with the thought recently, would like a feel like what was found from Opeth's Damnation Another Chip-tune one, fairly similar to Wandering Road. I'm considering doing a series of metal covers, ranging from many genres, but I'd probably start with the extreme(Black/Death/Doom), seeing as I can sing those types better than others. I'll probably start with either Burzum's "Dunkelheit" or Reverend Bizarre's cover of the same song. SFX An MLP/Brony Special Effects trailer using Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro. More of a project to see what I can do more than anything else. will be of highest quality that I can do. Recent Game trailer. Similar to above, but more as project for myself than anything else. Still haven't considered what game to do, I could do Diablo 3, seeing as it's coming out 7pm tonight, and I'm hyped as hell for that. Programming. Ahh. the thing I plan to do as a Career, and I haven't done any of it for about a year. I plan on doing a typical RPG game, nothing special. I just want to test myself in all main aspects. Most likely not graphical, or at least, not under DirectX/OpenGL/XNA. I would like to start a group project sometime soon, maybe not with bronies.. I don't know. not really something to think about too much yet. I've got a few projects to get through. All in between Uni, which leaves little time left.
I, too, love lists! Fanfictions Continue work on "Say Neigh To Zombies", my first MLP fanfiction. It's about the Mane 6 getting through a zombie apocalypse. Continue "Bring Me To Life: An MLP Fafiction by Tara Gilesbie", a parody of bad fics/troll fics. As the fic goes on, the characters become more self-aware and revolt against the Mary Sue protagonist. Continue "A World Without Butterflies", wherein ponies from a grimdark alternate universe kidnap Fluttershy in order to use the Elements of Harmony against a powerful, lethal foe. Continue three untitled Quill fics. Simply put, one's a foalsitting episode, one centers around Hearts and Hooves day, and the thrid one is a "The main character gets sick" episode. Maybe, possibly start work on "Mahou Gakkyuu Hakumei Kirameki: Yujo wa Mahodesu" ("Magical Student Twilight Sparkle: Friendship is Magic", a human-based MLP anime) Real Life Get a permanent job. - In progress. I just interviewed for one. I'm not too hopeful, judging by past experience.

idea 1. the amnesia is only cool if the memory is an important plot device. Like a huge secret that the person causing the amnesia wanted you to not remember. If this were a few years ago it would be cool but these days practically every story has amnesia. its annoying. If you're gonna do it, its gotta have a plot twist (red herring style-not brandon rememberwhere he comes from-thats not a twist thats progression) attached to it. Otherwise ditch the idea. A hitchhikers cross over-yes. get on that. Zecora-it is true that theres not enough fan fiction on her but making up non-canon fluff without the canon attached to it, to give a sort of truth then as soon as the canon origin story of zecora comes along. your story's gonna fall into obscurity. I mean yeah i love the hoofwich horror, but I know if I read it again I just wouldnt be that into it because it doesn't have that "it could happen" feel that is the main appeal of fanfiction. you are gonna get so many requests to collab as soon as you fully establish yourself. Oh come on man. finish a story. At the very least get those ideas and incorporate them into one story. if you don't that list of "to finish" is just gonna get bigger! as for the job thing. you just gotta show that pinkie pie in you. employers love that kinda enthusiasm. brony work has no deadline. study
I can't help it. I have a condition called Attention Deficit Creator Disorder. I get the idea for a story and I have to write it down until it stops bothering me. I think today, I'm going to work on "A World Without Butterflies."
I'm aware of all creative writing mental illnesses including procrastinatia and pendantritis. But you gotta balance it out with a good shot of creative thinking and just incorporate. I mean right now I'm writing an epic on the war for Equestria (click sig). Everything goes into one narrative. lemme look at your stories again. I bet you I can fuse all of them into like a 1000+ word short three untitled A meta-fic (breaks a challenges 4th wall alot) main character is sick so you inform the reader that you will instead be told of another story. Of a foal sitter who has no very special some pony and in hearts and hooves day. She not only has to take care of foals but nurse a very sick main character. She acts like a supporting character and asks the main character on how to do everything and generally be the deus ex machine through the story. In fact it could be a cadencexshining armour story.
@ Ceres: Yeah, the memory loss is common, but I started writing the story before I had read many fanfics (hence, the reason it is an HiE story as well, those are a dime a dozen). I don't really remember why I did that, when I started writing it I had way less experience than I do now. I'm kinda just letting the story write itself, I am planning on finishing it though. About the Zecora: I don't need it to be famous. Eventually they will make a canon background for Zecora and more than likely it will not match mine. But until then, it will be interesting.
adding to my list of crazy things. I will be writing an epic canterlot romance called Night mare moon. about a *squee!* (night mare) who falls in fancy pants (a trickster and fraud who is eclair's trophy toy) and her fight to find her fortune and to win him against Eclair and save him from a loveless coupling (eclair is a courtesan, she is one no stallion can have).
