Wait, so you're only going to eat sweets, fruits and vegetables? Oh! I see what you're doing now. How long is this for?
Related. Surely that can't be healthy for you to do? I mean, you still need stuff like meat and carbohydrates right?
Wait, in the hospital scene shown << there, doesn't Dashie eat gelatin? Gelatin contains tissue and bone from animals, doesn't it? Sooo... Ponies aren't vegetarians. If you're going for a pony diet, go ahead and eat bones and skin.
Let's not forget the ham sandwich Applejack almost ate. Besides that, I could never do this. My dad works at a meat packing plant and regularly brings home crates of bacon. My willpower is strong, but not that strong. Good luck in your efforts, be sure to eat beans and take supplements.
ponies are't very good at being vegetarian, are they? They're like my Nan, who'd say she was vegetarian before eating sausages. Sausages, people! Crates... Of bacon? As in, crates of bacon? You mean to say... Crates that are full of bacon? My goodness, you lucky man.
I practically live off toast, cereal and curry. Although I could probably survive without the curry as well. And I'm vegetarian so I'm one step closer to being a pony.
as pinkie said in season 1, in episode Over a Barrel, all ponies are vegetarians; that sandwich didn't necessary have to be ham. seitan (made of vegetables) is same color as ham (almost same, you can make it same if you add red paprika to it), and it's made with no meat (actually, it's made of cereals irl ponies eat). That jelly; jelly can also be made out of soy gluten. Actually if you read labels on most of puddings and jelly's of the shelf, you'll see that they use soy gluten instead of cow gelatin, because it's cheaper, and has same effect. I'm vegetarian since I'm 15, so 5 years now, and I feel great. Ponies are vegetarian, it's canon. (and buffaloes)
What's a vegetable and what isn't is incredibly vague nowadays. Pizza? Are you serious? I'll settle for cauliflower
Vegetarian for like 10 years now... not quite as vegan as horses in the real world, but ponies seem to be regularly consuming bread and dairy products so I guess it matches up with my diet. For the record, you don't "need" anything; especially not meat. As long as you strike the correct balance of vitamins, carbohydrates and water, and consume enough calories of "something", the human body can easily synthesize many of the things you need. We are a very flexible species, digestive system wise. That being said, I do recommend vegetarianism, if not 7 days a week, at least whenever you can. Try new things, explore all the amazing dishes from around the world. You'll find that most non-European dishes don't have a lot of meat and are pretty delicious.
