I will not deny the fact that BonBon and Lyra are together in the backround. However if the show did depic them as a lesbian couple( which i suport any gay or lesbian couple out there) the ratings might go up bet the soccermoms will strike again to try and have them censored just like Derpy.
Come to think of it, I think that one of the animators or story board artist's know of the pairing and subltly refrenced it in "Secret of my excess". Ya'know, that scene in the background with Derpy intruppting Lyra and Bonbon? Of course it was just a little refrence, nothing for anyone to get worked up over {Be it shippers, brony's who don't really care, Those who are netrual,Soccer moms, or annoying and very persuasive Anti-shippers}.
Yeah, I don't think it'd be a good idea to put it in the show after all. I mean, if people got riled up over Derpy, they'll explode over Lyra and Bon Bon. Oh, slightly off-topic, but I liked Lyra's voice in the season finale. Hopefully they'll keep it constant....unlike Bon Bon.
Actually Bon-Bon wasn't part of the Bride's maids trio, it was Colgate, Lyra, and some pony with pink hair and stars as a cutie mark.

To be honest, i kind of like the whole "they're lesbian" idea. Not because of the... obvious things people would think of... But because there's nothing wrong with gay couples in general. I think a show that's based on friendship and tolerance should be allowed to reflect that as well. However, we all know how certain people would react if they said there were gay ponies in a cartoon for kids. If the show was actually aimed at adults, then yes. But as it currently stands, it's better left a fanbased assumption.

Seriously, anyone who complains about all the F/F pairings {And belive me, I've seen alot of people on this forum whine about it, because we all know that Same sex couples are just so horrible, right?} needs to think about this fact. Their really arn't a whole lot of guys in Ponyvile, or appleloosa for that matter.
