So I was browsing the web when I discovered a game called "Get Down Mr. President"

How it works is when you're with a group of friends, one person puts their finger in their ear (much like a secret service agent) and as others begin to notice they do it too. Finally, it ends when the last person doesn't realize what is going on and somebody has to tackle him to the ground and scream "GET DOWN MR. PRESIDENT!"

A game I've made up myself is called "Caterpillar"

A friend of mine owned an awesome sleeping bag that zipped all around, so one day I got inside of it and sealed myself up completely, stood up, and began to box the crap out of my friends. Thus began a cruel game in which they sneak around and shove me from random sides, however if I managed to get a punch in on them, they became the caterpillar.

So what weird games do you guys play with your friends?

I play with nobody because I have only 3 IRL friends outside of involvement with the site.

We all talk at lunch though, sometimes a good conversation is more than enough for me.

Well, everyone at my school plays a game that goes like this:

Someone has to volunteer to so something not fun, but no one wants to do it. So someone shouts "nose goes!" (maybe, sometimes they don't) and puts their finger on their nose, and then everyone else does the same as quickly as they can. The last person to do so has to do whatever it was that no one else wanted to do.

Not really a game, but your thing reminded me of it, Zephyr.

    1) Funballs
Throw the tennis ball, aim at the wall. Miss the wall? You run to the wall whilst everyone tries to get the ball to the wall before you touch it. If the ball gets there before you your on the wall, in which case everyone else lobs the ball at you.

    2) Piggyback War
We get on each others backs and ram each other to the ground. Last one standing wins.

(I'm the tallest, so I' normally ridden. But occasionally, I'll get on someone else and squish them.)

Octopus: This game is played in a large room, like a school gym. The more people, the better. Everyone lines up on one side of the room and runs to the other whilst evading three players chosen to be the octopus. If tagged, you sit on the floor where you were tagged and become a tentacle, where you try and tag the remaining players. Last one standing wins.

We played a game like that at my old school. Throw a tennis ball at wall, and someone else has to catch it. If the ball touches someone and they don't catch it, they have to run to touch the wall before someone else throws the ball at it. If the ball touches the wall first, they're out.

I used to play a game called stuck in the mud, it's sorta like octopus only there is one person who is it. and if you get tagged you are stuck in the mud and must stand still. However one of your team mates can crawl through your legs and you are free! The aim of the game is for the person who is "it" to trap everyone on the opposing team.

    Oh, and tag.

    But mostly hide and seek.

And in autumn, it was "Kick all the darn leaves off the playground".

Maybe different names in different countries? Here that is called multiple things, but usually it's "Pizza parlor", cause each person chooses a pizza topping, then one person stands outside of the game and calls random toppings, and those people have to run across.

We just call if "Freeze Tag".

Has anyone played a really good game of capture the flag? My graduating class met up at a park to play girls vs. boys. We even designed our own flags and took pictures with epic poses.

That game can be tense when you have to stay really quiet. We hid our flag in the woods behind a giant mound of dirt used for constructin. The girls hid theirs behind a pipeline in the middle of a swampy area. We won. :p

I love capture the flag! It's really really fun when you have, like, 200 people and a huge area to play in.

We have a camp near where we live called Camp Geneva, and every year we used to go there, they would play awesome mass games across the whole camp, which was like 20 acres, with like 500 kids and adults. Two of them were my favorite:

Capture the flag: Well, hopefully you know the general rules. We would have three flags on each team instead of one, since there was such a big area with so many people. We also would put a sock (not a worn sock, but not really clean, since we were running around outdoors) in our back pockets, and to get someone out you had to remove the sock from their back pocket. That way you had proof that you had "tagged" them.

There was also a game called "Color Wars", which was my favorite game ever by far. There were five teams: Red, Blue, Black, Green, and Rainbow. It worked like this: Each team had one color it could tag, and another color it could be tagged by. For example, Green could only tag Red, and could only be tagged by Black. When you tagged someone (worked the same as in capture the flag), you took them to a counting station, and they would mark a point for your team. Then both of you would be fair game again, as soon as they marked the point and you gave the sock back. (You gave the person you just tagged a 5 second head-start.)

The best part about this game was that two colors could team up, because they could not tag each other in any way, and they could provide each other mutual protection. I have a memory of a mass of almost 50 reds and blacks marching down the pathway chanting "Red and Black unite", while small pairs of greens and blues played guerrilla warfare on the fringes of the mob. It was AWESOME.

Then there was the rainbow team. They were called "rainbow warriors", and they were invincible and could tag anyone. However, they only had about 10 people on their team, compared to the 125 on other teams. It was funny though, when large army of reds and blacks met up with one rainbow warrior, it didn't stay united for long. xD Everyone scattered, including the blues and greens.

    That sounds extremely fun!

There was a game I remember playing when I was a Scout called World Ball. Two teams of about 8 or 10 players lined up on opposite ends of a field. In the middle of the field was a giant mass of inner tubes, like you would find at a water park, taped together to make a giant ball. The point was to take the ball over to the opposite side of the field.

The whole game was a mad rush to the ball, which ended up being a huge dog pile with people lunging at the thing and tackling each other. It's obvious that the team with the bigger and stronger people would have an advantage, so we made sure to balanc it out.

At my old school. My first year, CTF was an utter classic. We had so many great games of it. It was really fun cause we played it at this park, where one side was flat and had two main hiding spots that were really good. The other side had a big hill and dozens of hiding places. At point, it got temporarily banned because it was getting to controversial. But we always had one rule-The ball (we played with two "gatorskin" balls) had to be visible at a minimum of 45 degrees. Eeyup, those were the good 'ol daze.
