I'm moving to new house. :sigh:
Tomorrow we start moving our things over.
I have a history of moving from house to house and I've grown tired of it. I'll also will not have access to the internet these upcoming days. Apparently our cable and internet provider don't give their services in the area. Which is BS if you ask me. So I'm going to be making some calls to figure it out. Hopefully it won't take long to get the internet back.
The motive is to pay less rent. The house I'm in, the rent is around 5500 pesos. Like around 700 dollars, give or take. new house rent is 1000 pesos less.

For discussion, anypony here like to move from house to house or prefer to stay in one house throughout much of their lifetime. I of course would go with the latter.

I'd like to move, but less frequently than you do. The idea of exploring new places is wonderful to me, living there is like a really big adventure.

And i plan to stay here FOREVEEEEEEEEERRRRRR!!!

Do you have any idea what it's like dragging a washing machine and a dryer up two floors in a narrow stairway? :sigh:
In short, I am NOT dragging those things back down...

Hope you'll get internet soon, and that moving goes smooth

Being from a military family, I've had to move a lot when I was young.

Hopefully, I'll find a nice place when I head out on my own.

I don't really want to go or stay anywhere. I suppose I'll move when I need to.

Actually, yeah, I do know what that's like, which only means I totally understand why you don't want to do it again. I seem to remember that the washing machines are heavier.

Egh, helped my cousin move once. He had a 3-panel couch where one of the panels was a built-in recliner. Then he had a washing machine and a 3x5 foot plate glass mirror and more, all moved up one flight of narrow stairs.

5 years ago I moved to a place in the town I'm currently in. 1 year ago, I moved to a place on the high street, above our shop. Since we had a somewhat large house, we had somewhat large furniture. Getting the huge sofa up a narrow flight of stairs is a nightmare. Then there was the fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, desks and beds (they went up two flights of stairs). And this was for a family of 5, so there was quite a bit. Oh yeah, and we had to paint every single room in the house. And this was all without the help of removal guys. But we did have our family who help us move. About 20 of them.

Anyway, although what I described sounds like chaos, I wouldn't mind moving if I was on my own. I don't have many belongings so I could easily move (I fitted the contents of my room in one box, whereas my sister needed 4 boxes).

What makes it straining is moving all the big things and the amount of items you have.

It took us 2 days and about 5 trips back and forth to the house. The problem right now is that I have no internet. My brother and his wife don't want to pay phone services. But its the only way to have it. For now I'm using my school's internet.

Its nice to move to different places but I hate doing it so frequently.

I've just moved house for the first time a few days ago. It's absolutely fantastic living in a another (and decidedly better) city but moving all my stuff definitely isn't fun and I don't even have a lot of stuff. It's quite probable that I'll be moving again soon since I'm currently only renting so I've tried to be reasonably smart about things, buying a fold-up desk and just a mattress without a bed frame for example, my lack of money may have also played a part in that but the idea still stands.

In short, living somewhere different is great, the effort it takes to do that is not. I'll probably move a few more times in my life.

I myself have moved a few times in my life. The first time being when I was 14, and I moved to an entirely different city. Now that crap was hard to get used to. I'm used to the lateness of the busses now, and I'm good with the city ever since I discovered D&D with my friends XD
