So I have spent some time...well, thinking hard about this. Has anypony else ever thought about what it would be like to be a tree? I like to think I would be a small jacaranda tree. what would everypony else think they would be as a tree? ...that is, if you do not mind me asking...
If I were a tree I'd be rooted to the ground, doing nothing productive or anything of significant importance and I'd give everyone free oxygyn! ...Oh wait, that's me already. The conversion has begun. But seriously, I'd be a cherry blossom tree! or at least I'd wanna be one. xD
If I were a tree... "Wheres my daily dose of water and sunlight?" Although I would die if I were a tree, no sunlight due to computer usage everyday.
Well, Fluttershy is a tree so I would just be her, easy question, next. Or maybe I would be that apple tree that Applejack set up in a bed, I'd get to travel on a train. Most other trees don't get to do that. But seriously I can't really think of a serious answer to this, I don't know much about trees. I guess I would want to be a huge one, that has lived for thousands of years in a nature reserve so I don't have to worry about getting hacked down.
I live in a neighbourhood with streets named after trees. I'd be an Elm tree, because that's my street's name.

Sorry, horror reference, couldn't pass it up. As for the question about trees, I know this may sound weird, but I think it would actually suit me. I know, trees have no sentience, so how could you suit being a tree? Well, I'm the kind of person who sees the bigger picture of things, sees things in the long run, rather than the immediate future. Since trees basically sum this up by contributing to the environment over the span of hundreds, possibly even thousands of years, thous would suit me down to the ground (pun slightly intended). So yeah, I think I'd be one of those huge, ancient trees, like a redwood. Of course, this would only hold true for a few days before I'd get bored. I need my ponies.
Ahhhhhhh - Nope. Not gonna say it. If I were a tree - I don't really know enough about trees to say, but I think I'd be an oak or perhaps a pine. Maybe a Bristlecone Pine, since I'm so old.
I'd be a palm. I'd love to be a palm. At least people'd drink Coconut milk and eat bananas from me and appreciate me. OH, and i'd be on the beach all day. Oooooooh Yeeeeeaaaaah.

Yes, I actually thought about the logic behind Fluttershy's line, "I'd like to be a tree." I, personally, would not want to be a tree. I think it'd be kinda boring. I wouldn't want to spend my entire life (hundreds to thousands of years depending on the species) in one spot. I wouldn't want to be struck by lightning during a thunderstorm. I think it'd be painful if a woodpecker tried to make its home inside of me (assuming as a tree I'd be able to feel it). What if someone wanted to cut me down for wood? Not to mention some kinds of fungi that can develop and kill trees. Sorry if I'm the minority here, but I thought that line was silly.

Trees rule, but idea of actually being one scares me a bit. The idea of being 'less sentient', I mean. (I'm also nervous to fall asleep, sometimes) But if were a tree, I'd be a pine tree! They smell nice, and I like mountains.
