I like Derpy. Mainly because she has the ability to change the topic of a conversation if anyone notices her. Seriously, look at the comments of a youtube video. As soon as someone spots Derpy, everything gets derailed. At least it used to be like that.

It's quite sad really. Hasbro gave some fanservice with Derpy and it just ended up destroying her. Personally, I don't think it was that big a deal but if (for some obscure reason) it offended anyone, then it's best to just leave it. I prefered it when she was a background pony, kind of like an easter egg.
i think her new voice sounds more like a dumb blonde sterotype,wich seems to be a better target for young girls to laugh at
I prefered the old voice. It made her sound more innocent/cute. I don't see how Derpy represents people with mental disabilities either. She's just clumsy, she's not retarded. There's a huge difference between the two.
