I actually got suckered in to watching like 12 of the Pokemon movies. I only really like one, and only 3 of them were decent for me.
To be honest, I don't see why everyone keeps complaining why there are so many Pokemon. Sure there are 649 now, but that just means there are more to work with in the game. Obviously to keep things fresh they have to make new ones, so you just have to see the new Pokemon with an at least unbiased view, otherwise you'll just force yourself to stop liking the franchise.
Yeah, more Pokemon is a good thing....unless they're worthless *looks at Quilfish, Dunsparce, and Spinda*
I think that most people are also complaining by the design for some of them as well. Believe me, I have a tendency of using Pokemon that NObody uses and find a use for them. I could pile together my all-underrated team if I could.
I've been a Pokemon fan since the beginning, but I do prefer the original 151. It seems like they're starting to run out of ideas for the games, but maybe that's just me. Remaking the original games with all new Pokemon, some of which don't even have very original names? I'm sure they can do better. Who knows, maybe Black/White was rushed? I enjoy the old games, and I even still have both Stadiums and Snap. As for the cartoon, I really liked the first few seasons, but then it rapidly went downhill. They're still watchable for me, but it seems like some of the spark from the first seasons is missing.
I actually think Black/White were taking a step in the right direction. The ending, as in the fight with N, was pretty cool (if not ridiculously easy) and the story line needs that kind of excitement to keep the games feeling fresh.
Speaking of the whole N fiasco, it was undoubtedly unexpected and awesome, but something irks me. As you climb that....castle thing, you enter two rooms. A creepy child's room and a room with two random women. Does anyone know what the f*** that meant? The women were never referenced at all in the game and the room was so out of place....
*looks up intro video* Oh yeah....still doesn't help with who are they or what they did for Team Plasma....they were just....there.
I'll say this though. They did get creative with you catching the legendary before you fight N. That was different. The battle with Gthesis is just weird. His battle music is the weirdest and darkest I've heard in a Pokemon game.
I'm a huge Pokemon fan and have been ever since it started first bouncing in the Red/Blue era~ Pokemon was my entire life at one point, disregard school work, I wanna play and watch Pokemans xD I even competed in a locale Pokemon TCG tournament and lost on the third round, woop. I pretty much grabbed everything Pokemon that I could, and I stayed completely addicted until the Diamond/Pearl era. I dunno what it was about that gen, but, something felt missing... I couldn't finish it. I really dunno, so many praise it but I just didn't enjoy it as much. Pokemon 1-3 gen for the wins~ I haven't played Black or White yet to my regret but I hope to get around to that eventually. I loved Pokemon Stadium and its sequal, and both Mystery Dungeon games too! needs to be a third one. Oh, and Raichu is my favourite Pokemon, foreverrrrr.
Jesse James. Everything explained. DOESN'T ANYONE GET IT? LIKE, THE FAMOUS OUTLAW, JESSE JAMES? ...nvm... Anyways, into the games i was a little. Into the show i was little too. In the newer, like, last 10 seasons, i was not. And i never liked Ash and Pikachu. Bland characters. I prefer Digimon over them (Though, in English dub they seem bland too. German dub ftw).
I've been a fan since 1998, when it all began. I asked my parents for a couple Gameboy games that I read about in a Gamepro magazine for Christmas, with Pokemon Red being one of them. Christmas morning came and I got everything I asked for, Pokemon included. That Christmas was set to go down in history as the day that I set out on my lifelong Pokemon adventure. Man oh man, what a wonderful time it was to be a kid in 1999 and 2000 when Pokemon fever was at its peak. You couldn't go anywhere or do anything without seeing something related to Pokemon. Nowadays, I'm still pretty much involved in the franchise, training competitive teams in each flagship title as they release. Spoiler: My Pokemon Black Team Freya the Arcanine Item: Choice Band Nature: Adamant Moves: - Crunch - Flare Blitz - Extreme Speed - Iron Head Raquel the Mienshao Item: Wide Lens Nature: Jolly Moves: - Hi Jump Kick - Grass Knot - Stone Edge - U-turn Sonata the Starmie Item: Choice Specs Nature: Timid Moves: - Thunderbolt - Ice Beam - Psychic - Surf Camazotz the Crobat Item: Wide Lense Nature: Hasty Moves: - Hypnosis - Confuse Ray - Zen Headbutt - U-turn Kartikeya the Co*squee!*rigus Item: Leftovers Nature: Bold Moves: - Hex - Will-O-Wisp - Shadow Ball - Rest Escaflowne the Escavalier Item: Choice Band Nature: Adamant Moves: - Megahorn - Reversal - Pursuit - Return And on reserve I have, Kisala the Lucario Item: Life Orb Nature: Jolly Moves: - Crunch - Ice Punch - Close Combat - Swords Dance I'm particularly proud of my Arcanine and Lucario, for they're both females in species that have extremely low female birth percentages (25% and 12.5% respectively). I spent days pursuing them. I'm always up for Wifi battles in Pokemon Black if anyone's interested.
I might take you up on that offer of a battle. Though I am incredibly slow at building up a competitive team; at the moment I have a team of 4 pokemon, none of which at level 100. It wouldn't take too long for me to complete my team, I just need this as motivation. @MagicPinkay Strangely enough for me, generation 4 was my favourite (is) and was the generation I got back into Pokemon with. I watched the shows for Gold and Silver when I was a kid, but I never got the chance to play the games. For me, generation 3 felt a little strange. It didn't feel quite as polished for me, but maybe it was the Gameboy Advance's graphics, Gold and Silver had pretty well designed (though obviously pixelated) sprites.
Sounds good. None of the Pokemon on my team are level 100 either, so I've mostly just been doing flat rule matches where you have a team of 3 and they're all set to level 50. This sounds a lot like me; I was big into Pokemon Red/Blue and throughout the Johto series of the show, but I never picked up Gold despite wanting it. I didn't bother with Ruby either, despite wanting it a lot. It wasn't until Diamond/Pearl came around that I finally pushed myself to getting one, now I've been buying each new flagship game on release.
Needs more Finnish dub Pokemon Emerald has to be the best game in the series

Yes, they are. There are some things to get used to in Black. You'll be introduced to Rotation battles, which is basically 3 vs 3.
