Lore Section for EP

    I have had the idea of proposing a lore section to EP, weather it is a sub-forum or a forum all its own is not up to me in the end.

    The reason behind having a Lore section is so that members can tell us of the places that their OC's have come from, as all OC's do not come from just Equestria that would be to dull in my opinion.
    I have actually written down where my OC, Rashall Firemane, was born and the lore behind the country and why he left it for the Shadowed Forest, where he now resides, and how the Shadowed Forest fits in to Equestrian lore. I guess you could say that I pretty much created a country outside of Equestria to describe where my OC originated from and then gave a brief history on this country. However there are many different things you can do with a lore section, for example a possible thread/sub-forum under Lore could be "Equestrian Lore" where members could talk about and come up with lore for Equestria in general, another could be a help area where those that have an idea for such lore can post it up and see if a) it's a good idea b) if it makes sense and fits with any existing lore and c) if there is anything that can possibly be improved before posting it under the lore section in general.

    Depending on how popular this section gets, time will only tell, maybe in the future a Lore Archivist can be made as a position for staff. The Lore Archivists job would simply be what an RP mod's job would be or even that of the Fiction Archivist or maybe a little of both. They would have to make sure that any lore posted is not a simple repeat of another if it is they could tell the two and see if both of them could a) figure out how to make each other's lore different or b) if they could somehow make it the same thing and both work on it together. The Lore Archivist could also be available for any needing help with their lore if no others are present at the time. The Lore Archivist would also have to work together with the Fiction Archivist and the RP mod as some lore posted in this section maybe essential for a members Fan Fiction or some members Role Play. Thus the Lore Archivist would have to point out where said lore is in the Lore section.

    Wouldn't this just go into the Character Charts in the RP section?

    Or better yet, couldn't they just discuss the 'lore' in the Story Discussion section?

    These are already here under different names.

    Another place to put all kinds of lore and other information about RP characters is the blog section once that gets opened up.

    It'd be cool if there was some section where you could just make... Sorta like profiles for your OC's, with info on them and stuff.

    I know of this cool wiki where you can make pages for your OC's.
