Apply here for jobs relating to RP, both chat and forum related. RP Chat Moderators This job is perhaps the most difficult listed as RP in itself is quite volatile. There are no real 'rules' on how to RP, so it's up to RP chat mods to not only set the standards but also enforce the rules and make sure that an RP remains fun for all involved. RP Chat duties include, but are not restricted to: -Keeping the peace in RP Chat -Ensuring more mature RPs are kept off site -Ensuring rules are enforced -Keeping the RP Chat open and welcoming to new RPers RP Chat moderators will be chosen by Site Admins and RP Chat staff. RP Forum Moderators While the forums have been moderated by the admins and community patrol, as the site continues to grow so will the need for RP forum moderators. RP forum moderator duties include, but are not restricted to: -Ensuring RPs stay on topic -Ensuring GMs keep their RPs in line -Making sure OOC talk and IC talk are kept in their appropriate areas -Help stimulate and give advice to RPers. RP Forum moderators will be chosen by Site Admins and other relevant staff. Grey Knightmare's personal note: I couldn't care less if you're an admin on the biggest forum in the universe, it doesn't make you any more suited to the role. We're looking for dedication and passion, not skill or experience, that can be taught, commitment can't.
Sure why not, I would like to Apply for RP Forum mod. -I am always in the RP section and I also RP myself -I am on constant watch always making sure everything is okay and in line -I am always willing to help any who need my help or any who might need someone to Role Play with -I am open to any ways that can help improve and help bring attention to the RP forum section. -I love to see any and all ideas that people have for Role Plays and helping ensure that these Role plays are carried out, even if it means taking over the RP until they get back :3 -I only get directly involved in and only enforce rules when it is absolutely necessary -I am generally always on the site unless something else in real life needs my attention or I just need a break and I always voice when such breaks will be. -I am continually on the site, even if I say I'm playing my 360 which is right to the left of me. Though I am mainly in the role play area the most, what can I say I like using my imagination. GMT-6 central Time (US & Canada) Another reason is that I feel that I have not done anything for this site yet and I really wish to try and help at least in the one area that I spend the most time in. whelp there it is.
Wouldn't it be a conflict of interest with your current RP admin position at another website? Doesn't make much sense now does it?
You have an obligation to your other website to do your job there. This job to you will most likely be a distraction from your duty as an RP Administrator on the other forum. Unless you resign from there, (Which I don't think you will) It -will- conflict with your work, and, for the best of the other forum, it would be unadviseable for you to become an RP mod. Also, the manner in which you left the forum was not in good taste. Your brash and immature manner in which you addressed the problems with the site instead of going to someone privately with it while playing the 'I'm better than all of you' card was highly unneccesary. Sorry. But I don't think it's such a good idea. (This post is intentionally ironic.)
Here goes nothing... Hi there! I'm here to apply for RP Forum mod! Honestly, I've been exploiting the crap outta this site for two or so months for my own pleasure, and I felt I should give something back! What better way than to help out using modship in the very section I spend all my time in? For those of you reading this who don't know me, I spend about 90% of my time on this site in the Roleplaying board doing Celestia knows what. I'm on frequently and I'm always willing to answer questions. I can also perform tasks like moving threads and giving advice for those who need it! I live in GMT -6. So...yeah! There's my application.
OK, Jhera..*puts on a pair of glasses with no lenses in and looks at a clipboard meaningfully.* Do you have any prior experience in Moderating or at least managing a forum?
It doesn't to me personally, I can't speak for the rest of the staff. This is because it's too easy to setup your own free forum make yourself an admin, get twenty-thirty close friends and say yeah... I've had EXPERIENCE! ...No... Just no. Or the site you might have been a mod on might have had a different set of standards or protocols. It's like saying you'd be a great video game designer for infinity ward if you've produced indie movies... It might help, SLIGHTLY, but it's not something I personally look for or put much merit in.
I would like to apply for RP forum moderator. I spend about 5 hours a day in that area, and over half of my posts are there. I know what should go on in the area rule and post wise and I have not yet learnt how to moderate but I am sure it would not take long. I would do my best. If this is not correct please ignore. Also, time zone is GMT ~Dark
Get those apps in and refined ponies, looking at RP activity I think we'll be looking for more helping hooves, soon enough. Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk 2
Oh, me! Me! I would love to apply for either of them, so here goes: I looooove roleplaying, and I am...well, a bit prude, I suppose. So I would certainly keep anything inappropriate out! I'm also in the chat a lot, even though it's empty, and it can get QUITE rowdy in there (I may or may not have been a part of rowdiness), but I always make sure it is an APPROPRIATE rowdy. And finally, I would just loooove to help out on this site some! It's a wonderful place to hang around, and it would be awesome if I could help keep it that way by being a mod! I am in UTC -5. (Or GMT, whatever you wanna call it)
