Five ponies from each of the four realms have been called on to fight in a tournament that could change their realm forever. The fighters are suddenly teleported from their homes one day to end up in what looks like a stadium. This is where we will start, the fighters will be alone in the stadium, waiting for and explaination. If you wish to sign up, now would be a good time. Also, the OOC/sign up thread will explain how this'll work.
Heath bucked the sandbag behind him and it went soaring across the room. The sandbag landed close to 80 yards away, still 8 yards off of his record. "More bags." he growled. The frightened pegasi flew off and grabbed another bag, which they painfully held in front of him. He bucked it again, sending it 83 yards. "Be not satisfactory. Hark my words! Add a bag!" The pegasi flew off again, this time more scared than ever. Heath prepared himself for another buck when he became engulfed in a sudden flash of blue light. "Light? Wherefore dost I sparkle!? Aiberth, whereunto thy speech to acquit!" A nearby pegasus gulped and squeaked. "Sir, I have no idea what's going on!" Heath turned to the frightened pegasus and stared him down. "For this, be sure, tonight thou shalt have cramps, side-stitches that shall pen thy-" he couldn't continue, as the bright light engulfed him and Heath was spirited away to another world. Heath reappeared in a dimly lit room with ninteen other ponies beside him. "-breath up..." Heath finished as he glanced around himself. Somepony was going to pay for tricking him into something such as this. "Of these crimes I give thou leave by circumstance. Acquit thyself!" he shouted at anypony who would listen. Heath was beginning to enter a rotten mood. This was not going to go off that easily; the offender will be punished!
(actually, we're not in Equestria, we're in the the Battle Realm, which is used exclusively for the tournament. Also, all the combatants are in the same room.)
(Edited the Equestria part out, but I never said we weren't in different rooms. I wrote that there were 4 other ponies in the room with him, hence the other combatants.)
Rashall sat in one corner of the room silently meditating on the battle to come. He did this to prepare both his mind, soul, and body for if all three were not on the same level then the battle could be easily lost. Rashall wore a set of headphones plugged into his MP3 player (didn't see that this was in any specific time zone so yeah) which was playing calming music that helped him focus.
It was an average day for Firebreeze. Wake up, eat, job, and come home. He had just finished up an extreme weather job when he was suddenly engulfed in flames, "Sweet Celestia! Am I spontaneously combusting?!?" and then he was gone. He soon reappeared in a small, dimly lit stadium. Around him were 19 other ponies. Some appeared to be monsters, others looked like they came straight out of hell, and the rest seemed normal. "What the..." He said, both confused and frightened.
Rashall noted the arrival of the new pony with no sign of interest. He himself had been here for about a day and a half, all the others kept their distance from him because of his silence. (yeah I'm already in the stadium)
Ecliptic woke up and rubbed his head. "Ugh...I don't care what I won, I'm never drinking again." Looking around, he noticed several others staring at him, some of which looked terrifying. "Yeah, I stand by my previous statement. Where am I?"
"That's a good question," a rather old sounding voice said. Suddenly, an old Alicorn appeared infront of the combatants. "Welcome to the battle realm, my name is Everlast," He said with a smirk, "You have all been chosen to represent your realms in the 'Great Tournament'." The combatants looked at the old stallion with confused looks, "What do you mean realms?!" a pony from the crowd yelled out. "You will all understand eventually." Everlast said, "But now, it is time to meet your team." he horn glowed a bright white as the ponies were suddenly organized by realm, "Now get acquainted and such, the battles will begin soon." Firebreeze looked at his new team of fighters and said, "Does anypony know what's going on?! He has hardly explained anything!" One of the others simply said, "I have no clue."
It was a pleasantly dismal day in the Dark Realm as Ke'rehl, or Szandor as others know him, was looking through a musty tome in the hidden library of his B&B. This week had been a slow one for business, both the B&B and guided tours. It was almost as if nopony from the other locales wanted to come visit lately. He had no idea where they came from, but they certainly didn't look like locals. "I can't imagine why that would be," he mutters out loud to himself, chuckling at his own joke. The residents of the Dark Realm tend to be met with fear and disdain, which they reciprocate with anger and a mutual disdain. He turns the page, a layer of dust emanating from the tome, the motes now hanging in the air. Glancing to his hoof, he notices something unusual starting to happen. It seemed as if the Library had suddenly become darker than usual and... was engulfing him. "What sort of magi..." he starts to say, before he is whisked away in the shadows, now standing in a new room. "...c is this?!" he finishes with a snarl, noticing some of the disgustingly plain forms of ponies from other realms in the same room with him. It was altogether too brightly lit for his tastes. He passes around malicious glances at the others, about ready to demand who brought him here. Suddenly, an ancient voice speaks up from elsewhere in the room. Listening to what the elderly Alicorn has to say, he decides that answers his question and remains silent. His ears perk up at the mention of realms. Could it be that the area he's from is merely a realm, and that those who suddenly appear there that clearly aren't native somehow got there from a different realm? Noticing further brightness start to appear upon the Alicorn's horn, he quickly shuts his eyes and looks away. When he can no longer see red behind his closed lids, he looks up to see four others who don't look like the normal ponies he was surrounded by earlier. "So, it seems we're now a team in whatever game that Alicorn wants us to participate in. I say we crush the other realms and show them there is a reason to fear the darkness!" he growls, stamping his hoof containing the nail.
Heath glared at the other ponies standing next to him with confused looks on their faces. He's being thrown into an arena against his own will, and he has to fight alongside these idiots? "I am not your tool, Alicorn." Heath growled, "Wherefore must I fight for thou's own amusement? What occurrence is caused by refusal?" Glancing around, he guessed he could smash most of these ponies underneath his hooves easily, but Heath was not one to engage in unfair combat. Not to mention, one of the ponies from the Dark realm...unnerved him.
Even though he seemed not to be concerned Rashall wondered how everything would work once they were pitted against one another. He looked around to the others from the realm he had come from, they all looked confused even nervous. The one thing Rashall did notice was that they all kept away from him and he knew why, he was from the Shadowed Forest a place that barely any ventured to because of it's haunting appearance. Rashall gave a slight smile and then continued on with meditating, though this time in the same place where the alicorn had stood.
Everlast appeared behind Heath, "That's a good question, Tartaran Heath. Those who do not wish to fight will be killed, simple as that." Everlast flew above the crowd and said, "I think it's time to start, my friends. First up is none other than Heath, from the Tartaran Realm, and Blaze, from the Dark Realm!" His horn glowed white as the two chosen to fight were teleported into the center of the small stadium. "Remember, if you refuse to fight, you die. Get in the way, and you die!" Everlast said before disappearing.
Velvet haze has been reading her book during the whole time before, and when she finally looked up at the other ponies, she realized they were in groups. She sighed, closed her book, and looked at the other ponies in her group. One, grey with grey and red mane & tail, seemed sympathic. "Hey, name's Velvet, Velvet Haze."
Heath glanced around at the stadium. Not ten minutes ago he had been training his strength for the ongoing position of Lord of the Castle, and now this? He looked towards his competitor; a pegasus with a red coat and a red mane. His eyes became sad. He had no wish to commit to punishment by combat. In this case, it was an unavoidable punishment. "My apologies, good sir," he said to the bored looking pegasus, "For the good of mineself and my subjects, I must take you down. Surrender now, and I'll make it as painless as possible."
Rashall looks at the pony that had called out to him and looked her up and down before deciding to speak. "Nice to meet you my names Rashall Firemane," says Rashall at last.
Blaze's sad look soon turned into a an evil and murderous look, "I'm not sad for me, friend," He said, "I'm sad for you!" two flaming tentacles soon came of Blazes back, "They don't call me Blaze because I have pretty eyes..." (The rest of the battle is up to you, Jhera.)
Velvet looked at the other ponies in the room. "It's my first time in this kind of tournament. Are we going to be in teams?"
