sweeeeeeeet, i born on twilight sparkle (september 20) my second favorite pony! *brohoof* <3 Twilight sparkle =3
Sir! I am shocked and disgusted! And embarrassed! Horribly embarrassed. Horribly, horribly . . . embarrassed. Why? I'm not sure, but that was the first thing I felt. Weird, huh?
Hey, hope you don't mind, but being the astrology junkie I am, I made an Astrology chart that coincides with the Pony calendar. Libra – September 23rd to October 22nd – Twilight Sparkle 12th to Apple Bloom 12th Scorpio – October 23rd to November 21st – Apple Bloom 13th to AppleJack 14th Sagittarius - November 22nd to December 21st – AppleJack 15th to Big Macintosh 16th Capricorn – December 22nd to January 20th – Big Macintosh 17th to Bon-Bon 18th Aquarius – January 21st to February 19th – Bon-Bon 19th to Derpy 20th Pisces – February 20th to March 20th – Derpy 21st to Fluttershy 21st Aries – March 21st to April 20th – Fluttershy 22nd to Lyra 23rd Taurus – April 21st to May 20th – Lyra 24th to Pinkie Pie 25th Gemini – May 21st to June 20th – Pinkie Pie 26th to Rainbow Dash 28th Cancer – June 21st to July 21st – Rarity 1st to Scootaloo 2nd Leo – July 22nd to August 22nd – Scootaloo 3rd to Sweetie Bell 4th Virgo – August 23rd – September 23rd - Sweetie Bell 5th to Twilight Sparkle 6th It's a bit off, but I can't figure out where I messed up. I'll try to fix it later.
I can see where you mess up - should be: "Pisces – February 20th to March 20th – Derpy 21st to Fluttershy 21st" And each one moved back a day. Probably gave February 29 days, which it has next year, but not the three on either side of it. Calendar Guy Dwynter
The title of this thread is, after all, "Not for everypony", which is much like "Not for everybody", which kind of indicates that there's mature content.
I'm a Derpy?! But I don't like Derpy (is sad) and I'm BonBon in matt's calendar, confound these background ponies.
Fixed it! Still wondering why there's a huge gap between the start and end of the pony astrology line, but that just seems to be how it works out...
Yes, I see that now - which is probably why I'm embarrassed. Sure didn't mean it that way. Don't suppose I could change it so "Not for everybody"? Or maybe even just "MLP Calendar"?
Yep. Bronies are taking over the world. We're moving on to establishing our own months now! lol. Nifty idea there, Dwynter. Let me see if I understand this correctly. My birthday is May 8th. So, that means I was born on the 14th of Pinkie Pie, right? If that's right, that makes me want to type in pink! That's so exciting! My favorite pony! By the way, how long did it take you to come up with this? If you don't mind me asking.
How long, ePONYmous? <Insert HUGE smile here> Ten. Seconds. Flat. Seriously? Not much more than that. My mind wanders those strange corridors of Time and Relative Dimensions, and I already had a few calendars where I used a space theme and a comic book theme, so a pony theme seemed pretty normal. I didn't really want just six months, so I tried for twelve, using some popular background characters, and still just got to ten when I suddenly remembered the CMC. Then I realised that 13 time 28 is 364, so that could mean New Year's Day would be "outside" the calendar - no real date for it, no day of the week, either. There are some ancient calendars like that. And making 10 October the first day of the year a natural, considering that's when the show debuted. But claiming this was the year 1 didn't sit well with me, so I made it the year 1001, for the 1000th anniversary of Luna being on the moon. Now, aren't you sorry you asked?
Nope, quite the opposite in fact. Thank you for providing me a little insight on how you constructed this calendar. It's nice to know how some members think of these kinds of things. I thought making the comparison to our typical calendar months would've been arduous, but I guess when you're used to doing it, it doesn't take that long. Nice work.
Hm, this is really an interesting idea. Quickly Dwynter, pitch this idea to Hasbro and let us have awesome Dwynter Pony Calendars. Also, I'm born under Lyra apparently. This would explain my love of music.
Hm. I was born on the ah.... 27th of Applejack, is it? And er... 1994.... carry the 16... that puts me in the year 985! 1985 is good though.
