Simple Question, what do you love about the fanbase? What makes you proud to be part of it? As for me.. 1. The Positive Attitude: I appreciate how the brony fanbase has or at least for the most part makes its best attempt to have a positive attitude, which is something seemingly the majority of fans in other entertainment mediums, franchises, etc, have forgotten/given-up on/don't care about. 2. I CAN actually say i'm proud to be one: Sadly most fanbases are so horrid these days i'm honestly ashamed to be a part of most of them (anime, gamers, etc) But the Brony fanbase is pretty much the only fanbase aside from comics I can still wear my nerd badge proudly on. The others, they just..well, they make me die a little inside honestly. 3. Creativity & Diversity: The Brony fanbase is full of many creative & talented people (many of whom I am admiringly fairly jealous of, lol.) And there seems to be more abit more room for diversity, that is to say, equal room for different types of fans, where as other fan bases all to often try to belittle every sect of their mediums fanbase, this thankfully doesn't seem to happen as much with the MLP fanbase (yet, and I hope it never does! *knock on wood*) So yeah overall I guess my reasons are kind of flimsy, lol. It's pretty much just amounts to me personally being tired of the negativity & quite frankly stupidity of other fan bases, possibly causing me to over glorify the Brony/Pegasister fanbase, but can you really blame me, its one of the last ones that makes me truly happy! So yeah, those are my reasons, how about the rest a y'all.

Other bronies who see us as a happy bunch of people makes me proud to be a brony. I may not contribute much to the fan-base. I've only read 2 fan-fics and wrote 1 that I never released to anyone. I can't really draw for jack and know nothing about creating music. I'm a lurker, but I smile everytime I think about bronies and when I watch the show. There is some negativity going around the communities lately, but I keep in mind that the positive side feels much better when compared to the negativity that is introduced. P.S. I ♥ Pie.
I second the work of the artists and musicians. There are some staggeringly good artists wondering around, creating everything from the humble vectors of PhatBoyFresh's signature to what looks like oil paintings of staggering detail and complexity that utilise light and shadow to make that character come alive. I'm also deeply jealous of them. I'm also amazed at what the musicians can do with nothing but a handful of dialogue samples, some midis and some editing software. Add yet more jealously to those that show case their abilities with a guitar. *holds his guitar close* Sooooon, my pretty....sooooon....
The artists in the fandom, whether they draw or make music, are the ones that make me proud. Also, I am proud of place like these. On this site, the community is actually very friendly compared to some other bronies. I'm not too proud of some bronies though. Like the one's who feel they're superior to haters and brag about it. The whole point of love and tolerance is that we put up with all the bad things. It's not to annoy others and force people to watch the show. I would go into more detail but I don't want to turn it into a rant thread. So to sum up, the majority of the fandom are great, but the vocal majority are starting to go bad.
I'm not really proud to be a brony. "Happy" would be a better word. I am proud to be part of this site, though. This is the best forum I've ever had the good fortune to stumble upon! ^^ Wai wub woo gaiz! -giant forum-wide hug-
As of now, I'm a little jaded when it comes to the MLP fandom. A couple other My Little Pony communities have made me feel diffident about my abilities as a writer and author, so I've been holding my self from sharing my creations with the fandom. I may post a drawing to my DA every now and again, but the fandom has dashed my confidence so all of my fanfics are gathering dust. But it definitely was the creativity that got me into the fandom!
Yeah well. I pin some of the blame on a particular stubborn mod who wont shut up and let someone else talk for a bit. *Cough*Saikyo*cough*
