Well...someone beat me to it. In all reality though, masculinity and femininity don't really exist at all. They are just ideas. And those ideas vary wildly from place to place. I'm not masculine or feminine. I'm me and no one else.
Yep, but our clouded mindset and extremely biased media seems to get us to think otherwise. And we're here to challenge the notion that because it seems girly, doesn't make it so.
There are patterns of behavioral and emotional characteristics which are highly correlated with both physical sex as well as gender identity (although this is likely explained by the fact that, thankfully, the vast majority of individuals are cissexual). Femininity/Masculinity do tend to exist as cultural patterns. There is some significant overlap between these patterns in different cultures, although, as you say, there is also a fair bit of variation as well.
That was concise, interesting and well thought out as well as having the for thought to use Community made music. I think I have another channel to be my eye on and another weapon to argue the awesomeness of the show with...Hmm...
