The small speck right above the words "our sun" answers your question. also, thoughts about space have always crossed my mind. Questions like "What is at the end?" and "What do we do when we reach there?"
There is no end, and thus you can't reach it. Then again. We only say there's no end to it simply because we never found it... According to the Big Bang theory, our universe is expanding even now. If there is an end to it, we'd never be able to catch up to all the sweet precious jelly it contains. :derpe:
There are multiple theories as to what will happen to the universe. Some say it will keep on expanding forever. The others say that the universe will reach a certain point in time where it will start to contract back into the infinitely small space it started as. If it does do this, then we only have a limited amount of time to reach the jelly before to universe starts to collapse in on itself.
Now, imagine how amazingly unlikely it is that you were even born. Which puts me in mind of a song I once heard...
The Universe is infinite, we may be considered extremely primitive compared to other life forms in the galaxy.
There may be other (and I kind of use that term a bit loosely, here) intelligent life in the universe - or there may not be. Either one would be incredibly significant to us. Personally, I've always kind of wondered if we haven't encountered visiting intelligent life for one of the following reasons: A) The distances are just too great. You can travel from one star to another, but it takes generations. No aliens want to do that. After all, who wants to start something that your great-great-great-great-great-great grandchild gets to enjoy? You want to do it yourself! B) Earth was quarantined by some Galactic Empire because we "do not play well with others." C) Development of intelligent life is always stopped in some fashion; either accidental (asteroid collision, planetary ice age) or more through stupidity (nuclear war, not taking care of your planet). D) We are the most advanced life form around. I'm not sure which is more depressing.
just because there are other intelligent lifeforms in the universe doesn't mean they have invented or feel the need to utilize space travel.
Ah! Good point, Funky. I knew I was forgetting something. E) Other alien races don't view exploration in the way we do.
Maybe Lauren Faust is one of these intelligent aliens. It would explain why MLP:FIM is... *sunglasses* Out of this world! YEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!! Wait I did it wrong.
Yeah, I feel that way too sometimes. Honestly, the only thing I know is that I've got now idea how the universe works and where it comes from. Some scientists offer explanations, which are always interesting, but I don't really buy it. It could be entirely different for the same matter. But where I seem to differ from many other humans is that I think it's incredibly awesome how small we really are and little we really know.
I keep thinking I am a werewolf. Hairy, tall, sharp nails/teeth. Loves the moon.... That counts like an alien thing right?
How did you get a picture of my people. How did you take it in color, we hipsters only show up in black and white or sepia. Tell me your secrets.
