Recently Yesterday (Aug. 13th, 2011) I went to a Brony Meetup/5th Annual best year celebration The Event on Facebook There were many screens in the party room, and roughly 3-4 whole cakes that were being served I took pictures of. (When we first came in at exactly 9:30AM the televisions had started on "Ticket Master" then as soon as "Bridle Gossip" ended, it went back to the first pilot episode. *Was hoping it would go all the way up to the last episode.*) When I first went in, I lurked and such, then I met a couple bronies during the last couple hours. They were so nice and welcoming. So I took basically random photos and multiple photos of the same exact thing. (Hopefully I get a better camera/phone next time.) I didn't want to horde all of the cake, so the first slice was on a plate, then they ran out of plates and put slices of cake on paper towels. It was definitely fun. Although there probably weren't as many bronies as I thought, it was fun to get along with people older than me. EDIT: I wish there was another meetup closer to where I live and not further south/north.
Couple of things. - That looked like a pretty neat meetup - Hail MTG - Your ''Double Rainbow'' themesong is cool! Who are those Horizon guys? Can't find anything about them.
Eeyup it was amazing during the last couple hours. That's when I actually went to the brony section of the room, after lurking the party getting cake during the first hours. Magic the Gathering...I've playen it... I just don't have my own deck. Horizon I think made singles but no actual stuff. Not sure about it, just search more on google or stuff lol. Thanks! Can't believe I bought a Derpy from someone who made Custom Ponies, if you go to her dA profile, you can see she made alot of things. Good times, fun, friendship, MAGIC! Epic guy is epic in his epic MLP Throw Blanket cape. Wish you came over to Florida before then, then we would go together but then again the majority came to the party to celebrate their 5th year of being the "BEST OF" comic shop I assume and wanted free beer and such. I wish for something like this. I haven't meet another brony IRL yet. So besides you guys I don't know any other bronies. Also I want so cake now.
