Well. The posts in this topic sure have made me feel good about myself as a brony who collects toys (including all the McDonald's ones), occasionally clops from time to time, and yes, had his life affected in a big way by the show. It's refreshing to know what you guys really think of bronies like me. I'm sorry you feel people like me should be swept under the rug and glossed over. I'm sorry I'm "too into it" and ruin the fandom for everyone.

See, I told you. Love and tolerance my flank.

    Simple rule to follow:

Do what you want, just don't do it around me.

    Now to read the posts.

I'll update this post when I get done.

UPDATE: I didn't watch the doc and don't plan to. I don't care how people view me. If they see a freak, so be it.

I collect toys, I have 2 figures in my car, I have 6 on my desk, and another 20 or so sitting on my dresser. Do I care, no, it's just like any other hobby. Is it weird that I have McDonalds green lantern toys? Or that I collect pokemon figures. I still have them all.

As far as clop goes, I know this fandom catches a lot of crap for it, but what of the pokemon, digimon, yu-gi-oh, bakugon. They all have the same issue. Does it make the fans any different in my eyes, no. I just don't care, I only care when it's forced onto me. Remember the whole homesuck thing?

I really have no idea why people still make such a big deal about this junk.

Don't worry, I am the same way. I do have some pony toys, and yes, even I clop, but I do not consider that so strange. This is because I am more attracted to mental attributes than physical appearance. I have even adopted a pony pantheon, mostly as an act of protest against the corruption in mainstream religion. I am definatly a total fanatic, but I see nothing wrong with that. Ponies have a great influence on me, but that is a very good influence and I am a better person than ever before.

People need to realize, weird is not neccesarily bad.

*Shrugs* I have MLP toys as well. And R34 sites on bookmark. And I listen to most of the songs every day on my phone.

It's not at all that people like you need to be forgotten or ignored, it's just that this video in particular only covers those particular bronies instead of the whole community and what it's all about.

I also don't have anything against people who collect the MLP toys and other merchandise. I just find it weird and unnecessary that some bronies bother ordering a happy meal just to get the crappy toys that come with them when they can go to a toy store and buy better quality merchandise.

In short: I'm not saying they're showing the bad side of bronies (as far as i'm concerned, there is no "bad side"). I'm saying they're only showing one aspect of the brony community.

you don't have to order a happy meal. Do what I did.

Drive up and say "do you have the pony toys"

    get the response "yes"

Reply "can i get the all"

Problem solved, now I have ponies hanging for my rearview.

I hadn't intended for this thread to be viewed as serving the purpose of disenfranchising certain Bronies. It is good to get these issues out in the open, though.

Sorry for any rudeness on our part, Yami.

I'm going with hit piece. Whoever made this has definitely got it in for bronies and possibly other fan communities.
