Muffin cannot be expressed in normal numbers as such, you need to delve deeper

I believe the original Sonic cartoon is a bit before the general age of the users here

Derpy: It is, apparently - or at least it was what this article said (it aired in 1993). I am 24 old (which means I was six old when this aired in TV), but didn't remember watching those because I lived in Japan back then.

(watched some on YT) God, this show was awful... Thank Celly I was in Japan...

1993's actually a bit earlier then I was figuring but yeah, that's still a bit before most users here would've taken an interest in it

They must've re-used those characters (the chicken and robot baddies), I remember watching a sonic show in the last ten years with them in (it looked a lot newer, so it definitely ain't that one).

This, I definitely used to watch and funnily enough rather enjoyed it:

Although I admit the opening theme is rather lame..

Well 1993 was the year Rocko's Modern Life came out

Aside from that not much good from that year it seems, on top of that a few pretty derp ones:

    Biker Mice from Mars
    [IMG]
(I don't even have to have watched this to know that it must've been really, really bad)

Hmmmm, though 1995 was when Pinkie and the Brain came out so yeah, I guess 1995 wins

Oh God, as time goes cartoons get worse and worse (no offense, MLPFIM - You're an exception - though, compared to Tom and Jerry, you're not really great in my eyes)

Vynil: Mah goodness, it reminds me of Hellsing.

Now that you mentions that, I remember watching Swat Cats when I was eleven.

Well, I didn't want to post characters of mine, but I right now did something fancy - or so I think.

This is Golden Delight, a pegasus lady who's mother to one of my semi-OCs (actually, she's a semi-OC, too).
Butt tattoo and further details soon. I guess.

Wow, that looks really good - you took the style and added your own twist to it to make something both recognizable and unique
But I have to ask, what's a Semi-OC, doesn't seem like it'd be any different then just a normal OC (meh, was never too fond of the internet's over obsession with labels, just draw whatever makes you happy and worry about labeling it later)

Derpy (and everyone else who reads): I explained this in the first post of this topic, but it's never too much to answer those.

Semi-OC is when you adapt an existing character into a different concept, which is differente from when you create a character of your own. Since most of the times you make significant changes in the character to fit in a concept - like I'm pretty much doing here; the character is an almost OC, but it's not entirely yours (because you don't create it all by yourself). In GoldenDelight's case, she's a ponysona of a girl starring in a movie from Saint Seiya series.

The reason of why I create semi-OCs: sure, it's unoriginal, but I love using the idea of different characters from different series interacting. Yet I highly dislike (direct) crossovers (AKA clearly merging the character into a pony), because it brings me mindfreak and makes people crazy. Also, it makes easier for people to understand the story.

Wow that's awesome what software/hardware do you use for your art? Or is it pencil?

I'm going to guess and say that it's pencil, then ink over important lines, then erase pencil underneath, then scanning, then using a photo editing software (such as Photoshop) over it to add in the colors and fixing it up a bit.

Should take up to 8 hours.

Vinyl+Grey: It took a night because I had some homework, but yeah, up to eight hours or so.

I did entirely in Fireworks because I don't have Photoshop at home. And no, this wasn't scanned, I made it 100% in computer.
    Those are the tricks:
    - I make the outline in a layer separated from the coloring, so it's easier for me to control the strokes without interfering in the outline. (and it's also cleaner)
    - I usually make a quick drawing as a layer, make it 30% transparent and draw on it, pretty much like in real life we use blue lead. Drawing straight from the start can result in awful failures, and I'm rather lazy to keep correcting things.
    - After doing the colouring, I make the outline lighter or more transparent, so it matches more the pony style (which is light and confortable to the eyes because it doesn't have a black, bold stroke). I also add some color on the outline to fit each part of the drawing (mane, accessories, etc).

    Also, her butt tattoo:

I didn't draw Pony Draggle, but I came up with the idea of remaking her.

Draggle: Is she the one in your avvie? She looks cute!

Grey: Yes, I used tablet, and the laptop touchpad. It's useful to know how to draw with your fingers AND your hand. And I used to draw using mouse, but that was back when I used MS Paint. No way I'd draw nowadays using mouse. I treasure my right shoulder a lot, thank you.

Vynil: I tried to find the earlier versions, but seems Adobe seriously doesn't want me to get it for free xP
