Some places just give people the willies. Even if you don't regularly consume horror media, environmental cues are probably there triggering the reaction. Either try behavioral therapy or the Pinkie Pie Method (find amusement in things that irrationally frighten you). If you're worried about only the nightmares, you could try learning to lucidly dream. Some psychologists actually teach lucid dreaming techniques to help people with chronic, severe, and disruptive nightmare patterns.
I also had another dream that included alot of ponies, including some of the mane 6. Only thing is that it's not so much vivid. I might practice remembering dreams.
I think it's supposed to be burnt deeply into your mind. Or you're probably not remembering that you HAD dreams with ponies. And speaking of which, who once had a pony dream that included shipping?
I wish I could lucid dream. Problem is, whenever it gets weird enough for me to realize I'm dreaming, it's so creepy that I immediately end the dream instead of trying to control it. :/
Word of advice: you ever manage to stay in one for any length of time, DON'T look in a mirror (in your dream, of course).
I had a dream about you gaiz, but I forgot everything else except the part where it was about you gaiz. >.>
Self-concept is a troubled thing for most people. Whenever people look into mirrors in lucid dreams, they tend to see something strange or shocking. Other peoples' faces, or warped, deformed versions of one's own face aren't unusual. This is a good way to ensure your nice lucid dream becomes a nightmare rather quickly.
I dont see how that possible...but..dreams have no logic. I see something strange when i look in mirrors anyway. It looks just like me..but not quite.*more crazy muttering*
Mirrors are symbolic of self-reflection, and, thus, of one's own self-concept. In the real world, they can only reflect the images that are presented to them. In dreamscapes, though, there are no kinds of binding physical laws, so things can get weird fast. Things will get even creepier, if, god forbid, people try to use their ability to influence their lucid dream content for deviant purposes, such as fulfilling secret violent or sexual fantasies.
Heh, if I had a lucid dream I would make poniez appear. Consequence? I be happy. At least until something bad happens to TwiTwi...
