Well, you can apply an ice cube to the area. Don't let it up for a minute or so. Should help for a little while. wash, rinse, and repeat.
As if the wildlife doesn't annoy you enough, just getting to sleep is a nightmare. The sun heats up the room to be too unbearable to sleep in, imagine trying to get back to bed after waking up to one of these.
