As a pony artist, I've obviously been enjoying other's pony art. Except for the realtive ease R34 and clean art is placed side by side, as some many artists freely do it just like thier clean work. I ain't wirting to jduge them though. What I am writing for is to know what you folks think about it. As a pony artist, should I have to be open to R34, in my work or viewing? Why is R34 so accpeted in the fandom? And there will be NO judgement for any opinon expressed here, darlings~
Another clop topic, here we go. I'm an artist as well. Do I want to be labeled as a clop artist, no I don't. With that being said, I'm working on a pony in panties picture. You make the choice as an artist if you wanna view it. It's also up to you if you want it in your work. I'll never do anything like Slugbox does. Drawing that doesn't intresting me, but I love SmittyG's and Slugbox's art. As for it being accepted, that makes me laugh. R34 is just a part of any fandom. Every shows following has a group of people who can make explicit art out of it. Personally, I don't mind that sort of thing, but I don't actively search for it. And as an artist, you are perfectly free to draw or view it as you see fit. If you're curious, take a look. If not, then feel free to avoid it.
R34 artists do get hate, but in reality, by the numbers... They vastly don't give a care and almost every big name does it. It's almost expected that an artist should do it. There is almost no choice in viewing it, atleast on tumblr-every other picture. I shall draw what I will draw-and that ain't R34. I just don't wanta be judged by the art commuinty for it.
What do they matter? Art is a free form of expression. Judging an artist because you don't like their art is shallow. An as an artist, you should never feel you're expected to do anything.
I brought up the ponies in panties thing in the other thread. A lot of people said it wasn't clop, while others said it was. So be it if it's clop, it just means I can't post it here. Tumblr is a bad place to look for safe pony pictures. DA is probably safer. I'm not gonna judge you for not drawing it if you don't like it or want to draw it. This is a silimar thread, not a copy: I was asking if I should gave way to R34 to be accpeted by the general fandom, The other one was a poll page on the general opinons of R34 and general anthro.
