Clop doesn't make artists popular unless the entirety of their followers are especially... well, let's just say 'into that sort of stuff'. It's the artstyle that makes them famous and due to their fame it inadvertantly alienates people from the fandom. Slugbox is a great artist, as is Smitty (I don't like Smitty's clop art. I much prefer the SFW stuff he does, as little as it is.) I -admire- Slugbox's work because I like the artstyle in both his clopart and his SFW art.

It's all in the eye of the beholder. I'm not into clop so much, but if the piece is good, I'll admire it. I have a separate folder for all outstanding art, clop or not. You'll find that you'll most likely feel it is adequate as well.

Human ponies, I like as long as it's clean.

I hate pornographic and "saucy" images of these characters as I prefer to always see them they were intended to be seen. Unlike most however, I do not hate those that draw stuff of that nature, because in the end that makes one no better than an outsider hating on the Brony fandom. That said, that sort of stuff should be kept out of the public view at all times and not put on display like Equestria Daily does with their saucy tag: Stuff like that only serves to damage the fandom and such should remain hidden, not advertised on the fandom's single most popular website.

tl;dr Hate the art and wish that it'd be kept out of public view, but do not hate the artists. It makes you no better than the "Anti-Brony" crowd.

I guess we know now why people clop so often!

EDIT: Since the other R34 thread was closed, I guess I'll post my opinion here.

I don't think it should be expected of pony artists that they be open to R34 material. Everyone has their personal standards about what material is acceptable and unacceptable to them, and while I certainly don't mind it myself, I can also see a person reasonably avoiding pornography based on a children's TV show, or even pornography in general. I do kind of wish people wouldn't put it side-by-side with the uncontroversial art on certain websites, as it blurs the line about where this material belongs at all, and I think it is important that we as a community (Bronies) are responsible and thoughtful enough to not make people feel unduly uncomfortable and also to avoid inciting any kind of moral panic in the wider culture.

I find it funny that EQD posts pictures that originally clop pics with slight edits to them. The first instance I remember is a NMM pic that I can't seem to find the dA page for anymore. The exact same thing was done for one of SmittyG's pics. Their views of the subject are more black and white than my own, even if it skirts the general boundary.

I clop. I like Rule 34, but only as ponies. The humans and furry and kinky stuff bothers me. Some artists can go way out of hand with this.

    I have another question.

This one is NOT about the art it's self but the people.

How do you guys feel about people that draw and/or enjoy filly R34? (CMC and the whatnot)

Once more I DO NOT CARE what you think about the art. I want to know how you feel about the people.

Me, I don't see them any different. They are still people, they still have feelings and I don't think they should be judged by what they like. I fully support an artist right to draw what they want.

Humanized I think is fine, if you dont make it too visual.
For example, I made one of Dark Shine

All it is really, is it is just a normal picture of a character, using the colours of MLP if they do it, in an apropriate way.

Technically it's on the same level as Lolicon, which is illegal/banned in the UK (and US?) under the "Consultation on the Possession of Non-Photographic Visual Depictions of Child Sexual Abuse". The CMC's in effect are children, but aren't human, so I am unsure as to the limits of this ban.

As for how I feel? I honestly don't care what people do in their privacy if it isn't harming anyone. I have no problem with Lolicon or Shotacon because it's pure fantasy, so the same applies to filly R34 for me, too.

Lolicon isn't illegal in the U.S. Although I wouldn't go so far as to say it is perfectly legal either. You could probably pursue an obscenity charge against some specific vendor of loli material or something like that, but more than likely any law designed to target it will be struck down at some point by the Supreme Court.

Ah, I was unsure of it's stance overseas. I only know of it's ban here.
Yes, I would imagine vendors selling that material would be reported due to the reputation and content of loli material.

    That's understandable.

There are exceptions, of course. Some guy was sentenced to 6 months in prison in 2010 for importing lolicon under the 2003 PROTECT Act, which prohibits imagery of children engaging in sexual acts which are virtually indistinguishable from the real thing and have no serious artistic merit. Most lolicon exists in kind of a gray area there. All I can say is that people import lolicon all the time into the US, and you rarely hear of anyone getting in trouble for it.

Not really, just because they happen to enjoy doesn't mean they are gonna do anything at all to a child. Like the people that like clop, do they really want to engage in any activities with a horse?

I know to furries it would be considered cub porn. I know it's not usually accepted.

Well, here is the outcome of a recent court case in Sweden, which has some connection to what we are talking about here. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-18430725

I basicly agree with the court ruling, drawn images are not exploiting any real people and is therefore not illegal. Whatever I think of the people into that kind of stuff, I must refer to the law of tolerance as long as they are not hurting any real people.
