This is frustrating! So many Illinois bronies, but not a single Missouri brony! Now I have an idea how Tantalus felt!

I'm the exact opposite. This is a reason I'd like to visit Florida, for the thunderstorms. Florida being the lightning capital of the United States and all. I find it ironic that it's called The Sunshine State, or as a Floridian I talked to once called it, a misnomer. I've been told that an average Floridian thunderstorm is comparable to a severe one up here in the northeastern US. I don't know if I'm too keen on the hurricane threat though, but I wouldn't mind riding one out just once to see what it's like.

Anyway, I reside in The Keystone State; Pennsylvania. I live in a college town. It's not too bad out here. I've only been here for a little over a year now. Prior to this, I lived in southern New Jersey near the shore for 24 years. So this was definitely a change. The once flat land is now mountainous. The animals seem less timid here. Where I grew up, you'd be lucky to get a squirrel to come near you. Over here, they'll sometimes just walk right up to you. Also, we have a lot of rabbits. Their timidity varies. Sometime's they'll run, or rather, hop away, while at other times they couldn't care less if you walked up to them.

As for the weather, I'm still getting used to the winters here. Last winter, we had a lot of nuisance snowfalls— not enough for a day off. Actually, from what I understand, we can get over a foot of snow and the university won't even close down for a day. Thankfully they're very efficient with snow clearing around here. Throughout nearly the entire winter there was snowfall present. Most of the time when it snowed we'd accumulate six inches or less. I think the most we had this year in one storm was ten inches or something close to that. Actually, my home back in New Jersey got hit by several major snowstorms. It's also a lot colder here during the wintertime. One morning the temperature was only -5ºF/-20.5ºC, which, for me, is not something I'm used to. In NJ, the Atlantic Ocean was a pretty decent temperature moderator. I prefer warmth and storms over cold and snow. Snow is pretty to look at, but kinda boring. It just doesn't have the same dynamic feel as a nice thunderstorm.

As far as the population, being it's a college town, the students outnumber the locals, so there is a lot of diversity. Students come from all 50 states across the country. There are also students that come from other countries. So there's a lot of variety within the over 45,000 students that attend.

Crime isn't even a big issue here. If you were look up this town on a crime website, the majority of the stuff that would show up is drinking, party or noise related. No surprise, being the the university I attend is supposedly one the top party schools. Although, I've never cared to immerse myself in that aspect of the culture here. I fortunately live in a quieter section of town.

Yep, probably more info than you wanted.

TL;DR: Pennsylvania, USA. (See location info to the left).

I live in Delaware. Suburbs of Wilmington. I like to say to people "I live in the roundy bit of the state at the top near Pennsylvania"

A lot of the time i get "where is Delaware?"

At first glance I thought this was referring only to the United States of America. I was going to troll the thread and say that I'm from British Columbia, which I am. British Columbia is marketed as "The Best Place on Earth" because of it's lush greenery, though one visitor called it "The Rudest Place on Earth". Also statistics last year showed that British Columbia was the worst place in Canada to raise a child. I think that was it. I live in a good neighbourhood though, and most people don't seem rude to me.

Same here! Central Illinois is pretty boring. It's not terrible, but it still kind of sucks since most towns probably have a higher population of corn fields than people.

I'll hopefully be going to school in either Chicago or Nashville next year though :D

Well, after about 34 entries, here's a tally:
    United States:
    California - 3, Connecticut - 1, Delaware - 1, Florida - 3, Illinois - 5 (!), Maryland - 2, Minnesota - 1, Missouri - 1, Montana - 1, New York - 1, Nevada - 1, North Carolina - 2, Pennsylvania - 1, Tennessee - 2

    Internationally:
    Australia:
    New South Wales - 1

    Brasil:
    Sao Paulo - 1

    Canada:
    Alberta - 1
    British Columbia - 1

    Croatia:
    Zagreb City - 1

    England:
    Lincolnshire -1, South Wales - 1, Southampton - 1

    Serbia:
    Sandzak - 1

Not really a big enough sample to go on, but still interesting. Interesting cluster in Illinois - shall we declare that the Brony Capital? Not yet? True, we should wait until we get a larger sample. 34 entries isn't even 5% of the total here. But I'd be lucky to get 10% respond - very lucky.

@Tenor - I hope you mean you're like Tantalus in terms of his punishment - not what he did to get punished, right?
