I'm having a difficult time choosing. After thinking about it for a bit, I'm stuck between Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle. Why? With Rainbow Dash's body, I'd be able to fly anywhere I wanted and, on top of that, I'd be able to control the weather. However, with Twilight Sparkle's body, I might be able to do the same as Rainbow Dash and more. With some magic spells I could fly, and I don't think it'd be too far fetched to come up with a spell to control the weather, assuming I acquire Twilight's intelligence. On top of that, I could probably do anything else I wanted with the power of magic at my disposal. Hmmm... evil plot perhaps? *Evil Pinkie Grin* Then again, the magic might be limited as the spells do wear off eventually and although my favorite character is Pinkie Pie, I don't see what I'd gain if I was put inside her body. The ability to randomly break out in song and be a skilled baker? Nah, I'll pass. I'm also already random like she is anyway. Fluttershy? I don't really have the desire to be able to communicate with animals, even though I do like small creatures too. I'd have the ability to fly, but as far as I know Fluttershy doesn't have any weather control even though she's a pegasus. I could be wrong about that though. Rarity? No thanks. Fashion's not my thing. Applejack? Although I admire her work ethic and athletic abilities, it's not something I'd trade bodies for. Spike? (Since you're counting him), I don't see much of a benefit there either except that we're the same gender. I don't think I'd want the ability to have letters suddenly appear in my mouth.
just to clarify,you have their body and potential,you wouldnt know how to fly from the getgo,or know advanced magick,you would have to learn
An intriguing idea, to be sure. I'd go with Fluttershy, because she most closely matches me in personality.
I love opposable thumbs too much to be a pony. Using magic to play Robot Unicorn Attack on my phone just isn't the same.

Oh, okay. That changes it a bit then. I consider myself to be smart, but I'm not a prodigy. So I don't think I'd have the ability to master magic as well as Twilight. I guess Rainbow Dash would be the more feasible option then. I just hope learning how to fly and control the weather wouldn't be too hard if I have the potential. That'd be a horrible mess up to have a pegasus's body, but be unable to use it properly. I wouldn't expect it to be a cakewalk, but probably easier than becoming a master at magic. At least I'd have the necessary equipment ("wings"). I'd just have to get used to them and teach myself to fly. Maybe it'd become natural over time, like it does with a bird. Maybe I'm thinking into this way too much for a fictional hypothetical scenario, but it's fun to think about. Anyway, thanks for shattering my hopes and dreams of Equestrian domination, chocolatechip. I hope you're proud of yourself. EDIT: I believe she uses her magic to hold the quill when she's writing. I've seen other ponies use their mouths to hold writing utensils.

light side: but in my opinion i would probobly go with rarity,i man,the ability for magic so i can give myself wings,abilty to see rare gems in rock,and best of all,purple hair
