Whenever i log on to the forums, the posts i've already read before logging off are still marked as unread posts, even my own posts are marked as such.

It's only a minor issue, but is there a way to fix that? It makes it sort of hard to see which posts are actually new.

Try clicking 'Mark Forums Read' below the main forum index list.

I know, but that also marks the posts i still haven't read. The point is it's hard to spot actual new posts if the old ones are also marked as new when i log back on. If i click the "Mark Forums Read" button, the new ones disappear as well.

What I meant was clearing everything might be what you need to do, to fix it for the future, I'd clear your cookies and cache while you're at it.
I know if you login to Vbulletin from more than one machine on a regular basis it can get confused as to what you've read and haven't read, due to some of the data being stored client side (on the computer).

It's the same for me, when I use Tapatalk it only loads up some of what I've not read, when I click the "read" section there's all kinds of stuff in there I haven't actually read! :/

It does that to me anytime I close out my browser. When I open the browser again it marks the whole forum unread, even on the same computer.

I shall take your advice, Grey. ^^

I'm going to take a wild guess and say you've got your browser set to delete all cookies on closure?

I'd say this happens to me sometimes, mostly being the opposite (I log in to find the entire forums as read), although it really doesn't bug me. What browsers are you guys using?

Hmm strange. Whenever I log out then log in, it always displays the forums as read. Which isn't really a bad thing because the icons will start to light up as posts come in (and I think that is how it is supposed to work). What are your History options? You could always just try another browser too.

I use Internet Explorer and I resent that smiley! Not really, but lol IE gets lots of hate. Personally I think the hate is undeserved.

Anyhow, I cleared the cookies. Let's see how it works now...

    AARRRRGH

    Did not work.

Oh well, it's only slightly annoying. You know, to my OCD side. I just go through and click on all of them again to make it mark them read.

IE's fine to USE, it's a NIGHTMARE to develop for, if you've ever made a website or browser app or anything like that, then you'll likely hate IE :p
Legion, just click "mark all read" D:
