First of all, really? No discussion on her yet?! Well, might as well begin. Discuss. View attachment 4624
both, due her anatomy, and due to the fact we`ve never heard or been referenced to the changelings before, that and the introduction of two new alicorns in one episode without much clarification, kinda leaves us all wanting asnwers
Seems to me like royal blood = alicornishness - simples. Although, technically Chrysalis is an Alicorn too! So... So... SO! We must, therefore, devise that... Oh. My. Gosh. Chrysalis is Celestia's 2ND cousin, twice removed!! :O EDIT: Which in turn means she's related to Cadence - Which IN turn, would ... Well. Yeah <_>.
heres a thing to notem according to hearths warming eve, equestria was founded by a council of unicorns, pegasi, and earth ponies, with not luna or celestia , not even discord in sight, could it be the alicorns invaded?
They invaded with bananas! The council of ponies stood no chance! That'd be sort of a shocker if it turns out that in the finale of the last ever season of MLP FiM, Celestia turns out to be secretly evil. :Trollestia:
Aha, that game just came out and people have already made the connection XD As for Chrysalis, she herself doesn't really seem all that powerful. Unlike the other villains, she generally makes her minions do all the dirty work. She was even surprised when Celestia didn't blast her to kingdom come. I would say her plan was...full of holes
All I have to say is I don't see how some ponies think she is cute. Boggles my mind. She isn't even as epic-looking as Nightmare Moon or as quirky as Discord. Not best villain, IMO. Thank you for your time.
Chrysalis is sure powerful, just I think she's too much in her head. as in, when she gained somewhat dominance over canterlot,in her head, there was nothing that could go wrong a that time. Her as character, well, I think using Shining Armor's and Cadence's love to trick them, and use it for evil purposes, and tricking Shining Armor was pretty low. I mean, I liked Discord's style more: " here I am, I want to do that, that's me, now let's fight", when Chrysalis was pretending to be someone else. So, honestly, not really one of my favorite characters.
Villains aren't supposed to be honorable. Chrysalis is a villain, so of course she's tricksy. It's just that she doesn't have a...personality, if you know what I mean. She's just stereotypical evil. And I don't think she looks particularly impressive either. So without the flashy evil or the quirky personality, she's a pretty boring villain. She doesn't seem that intelligent either. I mean, "Oh yes, Celestia the all powerful freaking god of ponies is here. Whelp, looks like the jig is up. Time to reveal myself right in front of her!" I never quite understood that. But I suppose it all worked out for her since she beat Celestia, even if she didn't really expect it to.
But while discord was all powerful to IMBA degrees, chrysalis was alot more grounded, only at badass levels when able to tap into a ready supply of love, meaning she had to be more connving and scheming, while discord could out and out roflpwn everything. That, and the royal wedding episode was just to please an execs daughter (true internet facts bro, or atleast i heard it was true)
I liked Chrysalis. Design: Seemed a bit weird to me at first, you know, a bit to out of place compared to the rest of all the characters, but I thought that about Iron Will as well. After seeing a lot of fan-art of her, and watching the episodes again, I don't think they could have made a more perfect insect queen, just the way that she looks so much like a villain with crooked horn, black shrouded body plate, and green wrapper like wings. And dem eyes. I wouldn't mind her taking my love. Personality: Yes, she didn't go for the immediate approach, but doesn't that make her more awesome in that she's like a super-spy? It really made it good because you couldn't guess the proper truth all the way through right up until the last few parts before her revelation. She was THAT good. I agree, she probably could have trapped the mane six and stuff a bit better so they couldn't interfere, but that's just typical villain cliche, and I like it when the villain's so confident that even just a glare from them will make people cower. You've gotta love the way she starts discovering ways to use Shining Armour's love, and how her facial expressions match each thing that she says perfectly. Oh, and lets not forget, she impersonated Cadence for a while, and the way she kind of shot Pinkie Pie down with the "Great...for a 6 year old's birthday party..." kind of made me laugh. Perfect example of a good trickster. Voice acting: OMC, DAT VOICE IS SO GODDAMN ROIWERHIOANHDTIQNHIOTJEWOJHOWJHOWRSPJMSP;M;H
The have to make the villains have weaknesses. Look at how close she was to winning. If she hadn't sent Twilight Sparkle down to the caverns, she wouldn't have discovered Cadance there. The wedding would have gone through and she would have had all the power from Shining Armour. Then when the shield is down after the wedding, invade at that point and win. If they had her think just one more step forward - check and mate. And this, so much this.
