I don't hate her. I don't hate anypony. Her personality is just something I don't click with, that's all. In other news, there's something I want to show you guys. You all know about the brony (Pega-sis?) who puts out those videos of her voicing Derpy, right? Well, she posted more of her work on Equestria Daily and was bombarded by haters. Apparently the opinions on her voice are quite polarized, but there is no excuse for true bronies to act this way. That's terrible. I hate when bronies act non-brony like. It gives us all a bad name. Where's the love and tolerance in those responses on EqD?
Just because they don't believe Derpy sounds like that. As she said, NO ONE knows what Derpy sounds like!! Hating on someone who just wants to make people happy with their own ideas and talent is sickening. Grow up "bronies".....
If I recall, Derpy Hooves/Ditzy Doo had one word in the entire series, and if you ask me, this girl did a pretty good job of expanding on that. If these people would have even bothered to check out her other videos, they would know that she is actually an incredibly talented voice actress (her Fluttershy and Luna impressions are sensational, I heavily advise you check them out on her channel via the link Zephyr gave). I'm disappointed people within this community could behave like that, but I'm ultimately glad she handled it in a mature, calm and friendly manner. Well done, and keep derpin' it, girl. I'm not sure about hate, that's a very strong word and one I tend to save for the absolute worst, but it is pretty hard to think of something positive about them. And yeah, they do have a negative impact on the rest of us, and you're right to refer to them as "fans", I'm not sure people like that really understand what this community is about.
Quite honestly, it's the first negative thing i have seen on any brony site. It saddens me, and the fact that her artistry (yes, artistry) had some haters banging on it angers me. Don't be hatin' bronies! love/tolerance/ acceptance/ and creativity keeps us together as a herd! it's magic!
Perhaps I was too hasty to throw hate around. Dislike is what I should have said. =\ I look at people like that and get the feeling that they jumped in on the fandom only fairly recently because they've heard their friends talking about it or whatever, but know nothing or even care about what the true brony fandom stands for and just go along with all the vulgar memes and dark humor that's occasionally found within. I know someone like that that only got into it recently because me and a couple friends were talking about it, next thing we knew he was spewing stuff like what we're seeing on that girl's videos, looking up porn and recommending Cupcakes to non-fans as a way to introduce them into the fandom.
I've heard of Pega-sis, but never actually seen/heard any of her work. However, one must always remember that haters exist in every situation and topic, and we cannot avoid them, I'm afraid. Anyhow, on another topic, I was on a tablet PC, on Google star maps. I looked up with it, and guess what the first constellation I saw was. Yep, it was Ursa Major.
