I quite like "Ponyville Confidential". It wasn't my favourite but I liked how they brought back things from previous episodes. Then again, I've liked every single episode. "Hearts and Hooves Day" was probably my least favourite, but I still liked it.
There hasn't really been a terrible episode, but there are definitely a few ones that were either forgettable, or just uninteresting or plotless. Mmmystery of the Friendship Express just seemed like an episode to throw a bunch of references that were easily recognizable by both kids and adults, so the plot was severely lacking. Some forgettable ones (or at least to me) were Owl's Well That Ends Well, or a Bird in the Hoof. A couple that I don't like just out of personal reasons are Lesson Zero and Baby Cakes. Lesson Zero I didn't like just because it seemed like it was trying to get a cheap laugh out of every possible situation. Some scenes were funny, but most were total flops. Could be different for others, thats just my opinion. Baby Cakes, however, would have to take the cake for my least favourite episode. It wasn't funny, interesting, or heartwarming in any significant way. On top of that, it was the first episode I actually had to wait for (Only been a brony since late December), and it didn't have Smile, Smile, Smile! in it.
I absolutely love the episode of when we see Zecora for the first time. I thought that was so funny when the ponies had their affects, especially Fluttershy's deep voice. I also loved the rhyming from Zecora.
Did you at least like Crackle? I thought she was the best thing in "Dragon quest" despite being around only for 4 seconds.
Two episodes I don't like are Baby Cakes and Mystery express. Hearts and Hooves day, Dragon Quest, Super speedy Cider, May the Best pet win, Family Appreciation Day, Sweet and Elite, and Secret of My Excess are all episodes I could live without. The are still ok though and worth watching at least once. All other episodes I love. Especially Best night Ever, Last Roundup, Luna Eclipsed, and all of the 2 parters.
All of the episodes are great in their own right. MLP is a wonderful show, and while not perfect, I personally find even its weakest episodes are better then many other shows strongest. But if I had to chose, I personally don't care much for Mare-Do-Well & MMMYstery On the Friendship Express, there OK, but they both just felt a bit.....off, if that makes any sense. But yeah still better then 90% of what I could be watching instead, lol.
I love "Bridle Gossip". AJ switched role with Fluttershy there. And I love "Ponyville Confidental" too.
The only episode I really disliked was Mare-Do-Well. Rainbow Dash seemed SEVERELY out of character the entire episode, and instead of her friends explaining to her why she was going overboard and should cool down, they go out of their way to make her look like an idiot in a cruel practical joke, while nearly destroying the town in the process. Also, on the whole Diamond Tiara/Gilda thing, the whole point of their character-type is that you're not SUPPOSED to like them. They're the bad guys, the villains, of course they aren't going to be likeable, your supposed to root AGAINST them.
I know i'm gonna get hate for this, but I didn't like lesson zero. I just didn't enjoy it like I did with the others. Also Crazy Twilight, not a big fan of her.
I didn't really care for Owl's well that ends well to be honest. That one never really struck me as good as the others.
I didn't really like the season 1 finale. I thought they could have done better. But they certainly have made up for that! :derpe:
Out of all the episodes I hate, the episode I hate the most is the season two finale episode. That episode seemed too much like a drama to me.
There was a few that I really wasn't thrilled with. Ponyville Confidential Dragon Quest Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000 The mystery train one... All of those were pretty meh. Although, I have to say the episode I probably liked the least was A Friend In Deed. The one with Yankee Doodle Donkey? Yeah, really didn't like that one. Not really sure why, but there's nothing about that episode I liked, not even the Smile Smile Smile song. I also wasn't a big fan of the episode where Pinkie babysits the Cakes' kids, or the Appaloosa episode. I dunno, maybe it's just because I've never really been a big fan of Pinkie. *shrug*
A Hearths Warming Eve It was just soooo booooring to me. I actually just skipped it entirely. I also don't like any of the Applejack episodes.
I only dislike that episode because they stole my Characters name. I had Platinum wa before them. That episode also confirmed and in a way stole my backstory idea. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
