I approve of Darkmoon's method. It makes as much sense as any other religious doctrines I've heard, and has ponies!

Thanks all of you for defending me, I appreciate that:smile:.

Still, I have to admit I may have lost my mind. On the other hand, I threw logic out the window the time I renounced my atheism, basicly because I could not accept there being nothing after death. I do not see how you could go too wrong with ponies either, they are literally the only thing keeping me sane at this point. If I seem fanatical, that is just that I am very grateful and that I truly see perfect good in this show and it's ponies.

Darkmoon and I had a little bit of a chat on skype, till my computer froze from using a mike on skype, and I told him that my religion is actually based off of some gods and goddesses from Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40k.

[personal convictions incoming, all that follows is merely my opinion]

This, I like how you describe ponies helping you connect to the divine. Humanity has always invented deities to help them understand their world, and connect to the divine forces behind it. So if it feels right to you, why couldn't ponies form that bridge for you? I'd say as long as you're not hurting anyone, do/love/feel/pray to whatever helps you to live a good life here on Earth. No one has a right to tell you you're weird.

Is it safe to say that there not being life after death is just as logical as saying there is no life before birth? There seems to be this misunderstanding that death is a terrible awful thing, and that letting go of life is an unbearable task. Death is not an experience, it's just an off-interval of life. That's one thing that used to always get me in the gut. However, we all have this inborn desperation to live and avoid death at all costs, so I can understand why we feel this way. But honestly, was that interval of time before I was conceived really all THAT bad? Meh.

If we're gonna talk about life after death, then I shall add my input.

    This is what I believe

Nothing, nothing at all. Just the cease of existence in all forms.

I have to agree with Echo here. I believe in purely nothing after death. We simply rot.

And because of that, I believe that our life has no purpose.

And because of that, I am completely, unboundedly against the idea of a God, higher force, or spirit.

And because of that, I like quantum physics.

And because of that, I believe Jesus was a funny guy.

My reasoning exists in my opinion that I believe there is no rational and/or logical explanation for a God.

As for ponies, they're a cartoon. Who teach stuff about morality.

Funny thing about that, in my religion there is a very simple motto "Even in Death I still serve." This has a literal meaning whenever I die I will come back, not reincarnation but in spirit form to look over those that are friends and family, or those that loved me at any rate. That and I will defend the innocent even, as the motto says, in death.

Take all that is on earth now and put make it the afterlife.

Then no, I don't want immortality.

The very idea that there is a place that is perfect for everybody is a pretty big flaw. What if you like blood, guts and gore? :>

Then they along with their soul would be deemed traitorous and condemned to the darkest bowls of the warp where the Chaos Gods lie, at least that's what would happen in my religion.

Shouldn't the afterlife be your perfect world, what if the person considers that they're perfect world. Are they to be denied that?

Not quite, their soul would in essence be sent to the dark gods who enjoy such things, in this case blood and gore and even a hint of honorus combat and this persons soul would have found it's way to the throne room of Khorne.

That is if they believed in the dark gods, otherwise THEY would still go to their so called wondrous afterlife, but in essence that persons soul would be blocked from coming back.

I personally find the belief in Video Game characters/TV Show Characters as gods to be a bit blasphemous... Even if I don't think anything is wrong with it.

As a Christian, I believe there is only one God who is right and true and just. While doubting this my entire life, I still believe because I have hope. When I lose this hope, I will lose my faith.

Personally, I believe in Heaven, a perfect afterlife. Everyone in Heaven does not neccisarily get what they want, but what they need. They don't neccisarily have a reason to be happy, they just are. You are immortal, and you are happy. What more could you ask for than unending happiness? You never get bored, you never get sad, you never get lonely. It may sound stupid, but I don't think anyone really would understand until they got there.

Of course, the Bible doesn't really describe Heaven or Hell in great detail. So this is almost completely my own imagination.

As for people who are arguing about the afterlife:

Stop worrying about it. Do good now. Worry about the future when it's the present. Follow these rules, and I honestly think it is easier to live life. Not that you shouldn't plan for things, but I don't put much stock in plans. They crumble to dust too easily in the wind of fate/God's will/insert divine force here. You know what I'm saying?

And if there's nothing after death, then we won't realize that we don't exist. So nothing to worry about there, eh?

NINJA EDIT: I agree with you completely, Ramza.

Oh something else about my religion that is quite interesting, I believe that machines have a machine spirit. Very complex on how they get them so I probably won't describe it in full here.

    Praying to ponies?
Just as bad as praying to anything else, as you'll get the same result from fictional characters: Nothing!

    Afterlife?
Nothing. There has been nothing to suggest otherwise.
