Hmmmm....I was looking back at I_Ride_Ponies thread about posting photos of yourself, breaking the anonymity. I wonder if I should break out of my comfort zone and post a pic of myself for my profile page.....decisions, decisions.....
Nah, I don't think I'd be comfortable posting a pic of myself either. Nobody needs to see that. lol. Yeah, I have low self-asteem issues, haha. On a random note, I just had a fairly decent thunderstorm move through. There was heavy rain, it was windy (I was making sure there were no rotating clouds! Yikes!), and a fairly decent amount of lightning and thunder. Now it's just cloudy with some light rain. Ahh, how relaxing. I love the sound of rainfall. Rainbow Dash, clear up these clouds now so the environment will become favorable for storms again. I command it! Um, that is, if you don't mind.
I love lightning. It's the best. It's funny how much of a hypocrite sometimes us weather people can be. I normally tell people that when thunder roars, get indoors, but what do I do? I go outside with my cellphone and start taking a video of the storm, haha. I think I even managed to capture a piece of a lightning bolt while I was outside. It was really getting breezy too. As soon as I finished recording, my landlord came up to me in his truck and asked me if we were under a tornado warning, lol. I must be the neighborhood weatherman now, even though I don't have my degree yet. Fortunately, we weren't, but we were warned for the potential for large hail and damaging winds. Although breezy, it wasn't destructive, and no hail occurred.
I love sunny weather and all, but there is something about rainy, stormy weather that is just fantastic. I'm not sure why, but it I love it.
I was going to use the image that said F yeah, but I don't know if that's allowed— figured I'd play it safe, but yes, I agree with that!
Yeah, I love riding my bicycle or walking the beach when it's stormy, listening to some loud music on my iPOD. Makes my nature-sense go weeeeeeeeeeeee
in other news, daily mail(uk newspaper) had an intresting article about a new pill coming in 3 years, wich will inhibit diabetes, cancer, and obesity, and kickstarts the gene wich extendes the logevity of peoples lifes, cant remember all of it,but it said it will actually allow eople to eat loads of fatty food with no chance of obesity, and giving the benefits of exercise without leaving the couch, meanng that for eole who do alot of their schoolwork at a desk at home (me) and who do not enjoy physical exercise available(except tennis) will be able to do more work with less movement
Are you talking about Draco? I've been hearing some interesting stuff about that "wonder drug". Has the potential to fix most, if not all viral infections
Might not be talking about the same thing but it sounds similar. http://www.ibtimes.com/articles/197...-any-viral-infection-mit-scientists-draco.htm
Sorry to interrupt, but I just realized something. Before the storm hit my place this afternoon the temperature was 77ºF, but after it left it was 61ºF. If you take 61/77, you get 0.79220779 ≈ 0.8 when rounded to the tenths place, which means on this temperature scale, the temperature dropped 20%. It was literally 20% cooler!!! OMG! Another way to look at it is 77ºF • 0.20 = 15.4. 77ºF – 15.4 = 61.6 which is close enough to 61ºF, I know I'm kinda forcing the number, but it's just too darn close to pass up this opportunity! I tried this with the Celsius and Kelvin scales, but that didn't work out so well. BEFORE: 77ºF = 25ºC = 298.15 K AFTER: 61ºF ≈ 16.11ºC ≈ 289.26 K Celsius 25ºC • 0.2 = 5ºC 25ºC – 5 = 20ºC = 68ºF (Too warm) ≠ 61ºF Kelvin 298.15 K • 0.20 = 59.63 K 298.15 K – 59.63 K = 238.52 K = -30.33ºF (Way too cold!) ≠ 61ºF Thus mathematically proving once and for all, that Fahrenheit is 20% cooler than all other temperature scales.* *Disclaimer: That's just a joke, no offense intended. I use all three. Fahrenheit for temperature reporting in everyday life, Celsius and/or Kelvin typically when involving scientific calculations. Now, I know what you're thinking. Alright, I'll let you get back onto the current topic of discussion. I just couldn't pass this one up.
