    I'll give the slightly abridged version of my answer.

    Ok So to Echoax and Sparky. You guys were having a debate on whether God protects you and whether he protects you if you believe in him or not.

    Here's my input.

    God looks over you and watches over you no matter what your religion, because he loves each and every one of us.

    This however does not exempt us from disasters happening in our lives. God gives us the good times and the bad ties. He puts these troubles in our lives so that we may learn how to cope with them and so that we may grow spiritually.

    For example, one day (This could happen)

    I am in the car with my family and we are involved in a car smash, that kills everyone but me. Immediately some people may ask, but is God were loving why would ha do that? Well he does it so that I may learn to cope with that sort of disaster and maybe learn to cope with death better. For every disaster in our lives there is a purpose and a lesson to be learned.

    Now onto whether God protects you if you believe in him or not, like I said earlier, I believe he protects us whether we are Christian or not, because he wants that none should perish, so. he wants us alive long enough to get enough time to make the choice and think about the choice of following him. That's why again he puts disasters as well as happy times in our life, for a non christian those may be there so that they may decide to look for him and seek help through him. It also may be there to aid in the derision making.

    So God does look over us, no matter what we are, but he doesn't offer us protection from disasters, because those help us grow spiritually, also I'd like to add, he protects us until he believes we've served our purpose and it is our time to die.

    I hope this makes sense, my original answer was a lot more well written. But if you have any more questions feel free to ask. but private message me then.
