No one has mentioned this? you know, for kids! Granted, this was (probably) banned... but still...
Now that I think of it, the Transformers cartoon involves someone yelling "DAMN!" twice. In the movie, one of the humans even yells "Oh s***! What are we gonna do now!?"
>that >pushing the lines nope.avi To me, it doesn't really push the lines I mean like the show didn't get a TV PG rating for nothing if you're following what I'm saying
idk what is all the fuss about? I've watched Dragon Ball since I was 5-6 years old. I'd have no problems showing my kids mlp:fim, I mean, it's not that bad, i've seen much much worse.
I played Doom at 5. Still I turned out perfectly fine, being 21 and watching cartoon ponies and all. I think society does not give children enough credit, they can handle more than people think. By the way, fireball? What scene are you refering to, I remember no such thing in FIM (plenty od dragonbreath though). And lesson zero is only inappropriate if you already have a dirty mind (if refering to that scene with Twilight and the CMC, hint...."Hi girls") But yeah, nothing inappropriate here in my mind, I think any child would only be positively affected by FIM.
Ah, that scene is pretty dark, especially since I first assumed Cadence sent Twilight to hell/Tartarus. Not in any way inappropriate though, like I said, we do not give children enough credit, they can take some dark stuff. Still, most of the dark stuff in this scene is just a byproduct of my own obsession with religion.
Initially, you'd think this. But then think back to your childhood shows. There was a LOT of screwed up things on TV compared to now. "Lesson Zero" doesn't even come close to the stuff I'd live to see. "The guy who made this show is the same guy who made samurai jack, power puff girls, and more" Cartoon Network has aired plenty that are far worse. I think everyone will have seen a hundred panty shots by the time they're 10.
They brought Toonami back. And how many of you stayed up to watch Adult Swim when it was still worth watching?
The show at being was funny then just got annoying after season 2 . And reality tv show What's wrong with Toonami
Look on the bright side, guys. At least Twilight wasn't goose-stepping.
^ Off-topic, I think it was because this cartoon was made during World War II, and it was around that time that Walt Disney became obsessed with making propaganda cartoons. Back on topic, especially when you compare it to cartoons of the past, a purple pony being surrounded by fire isn't really going to dent children's psyche.
Why? It's a fully clothed girl shaking her butt around. Big deal. I AM surprised to hear that was on a regular CN show, though. Not even Adult Swim, huh? The only thing in MLP that might reasonably be questionable is Fluttershy cracking the bear's neck in Lesson Zero. Even after you know she wasn't killing it, it still looks pretty brutal. Then again, Twilight spent part of that episode stalking the CMC like some sort of deranged pedophile, so I'll just go out on a limb and say that whole episode was a bit "edgy" by MLP standards. EDIT: And since we seem to be posting old American WW2 propaganda cartoons now, allow me to share this cute Looney Tunes one with the rest of you: "Hey, watch your blood pressure, chubby." I love old cartoons!
In my opinion, enjoy the cartoons of today because they may not be like this in the future. For better or for worse.
