I agree on this point 100%. I'm not saying I don't think the fellow bronies we have shouldn't be proud, military bronies, displaying their brony pride, but gotta keep the uniform professional.

I also agree with Zephyr on the "violations". I have plenty of friends in the military(in all branches too) who wear their military uniforms around town; Nothing wrong with it as long as they aren't being idiots in their uniforms. As far as the attending of that convention, that's allowed too again, providing they are not being idiots (since your not supposed to disgrace the uniform). Just remember, when reading something Fox News has posted or watching a video they aired, to them, if it doesn't fit in their likings, its WRONG as far as they are concerned.

Am I the only person who don't have problem with the patches? If there is one place people need to lighten up it is in war, I may not know much about war, but I can see those patches being beneficial for morale and if they do nothing else, they may confuse the enemy.

Yes, I am totally insane, but if it were up to me, I would form a brony task force within the millitary. It's main role would be to spread confusing in enemy lines with pony related battlecries and pony music from speakers placed in tanks.

On a less crazy note, I would use the symbol of Rainbow's cutie mark as a badge of honor, calling it the "mark of loyalty", which should be given to individuals who was proven beyond a doubt their loyalty to the cause, like being captured and tortured by the enemy and refuse to give them strategic information.
(and later freed by allied forces or escapes)

You're a little too obsessed with ponies Darkmoon...They would give you the Medal of Honor for things like that.

That actually makes a weird kind of sense. But still if they're not allowed, they're simply not allowed. We can't change that.

I don't know about you, but I think I would be a pretty unpredictable commander:Trollestia:.

It should also be noted that my homeland has not been at war for hundreds of years, I know nothing of how the US millitary operates.

I honestly like the patch but its just like how if you work at a place where you need to wear a suit everyday, you wouldn't modify the suit with rips or an armband unless it was directly related to the company. Even though the US Military is pretty much "pew pew first, ask questions later", they still have to make their selves look somewhat professional. And kinda just thought of another thing, a Rainbow Dash patch isn't camo'd very easily, so would make you stick out like a sore thumb...unless you were doing operations in Equestria or something lol

I was about to question the whole "off duty in uniform at unauthorized location" stuff. I see military guys wearing uniforms, or fatigues at the least, in a lot of places when I go out. Rarely do they actually wear anything formal unless it has a specific purpose (court, for example). I always assumed it was a symbol of pride (who wouldn't want to display their pride in serving our country if they were?).

If someone is serving our country, I couldn't care less if they sewed a barbie patch on their uniform. Sure, it's weird for others, but I'm also sure they've earned their right.

i have always though of the idea of a brony squadron. a team of 15 or so men all bronies. then a cutie mark would become an official military patch, at least, the patch of their choosing. i dunno how the military works, but i know that insignias are customizable via the troop, my dad has his own insignia from when he was in the navy, it was a rose with a dagger.

    tell that to fox. :/

I live in chicago and Fox and ABC pretty much rules our media. Fox only cares about the money, so they rely on all the bad stuff, as well as make everything else look bad because people are interested in that stuff. ABC more look towards whats new and upcoming, less lying and more now. they both tell you the news and add twists and turns to make it more than it really is. the difference, Fox is very biased, ABC isn't Biased.

There will always be some form of bias in any statement.

Bias is in human nature, it's impossible to be free from.
And excellent example being how this post itself is biased.

We've all been told bad things about Fox News from places like Family Guy, South Park, The Daily Show, Common Sense, Equestria Daily, but not everything they say is bad, and on the converse bias can easily be seen in ABC and other news stations.
    Media Manipulation is everywhere.

Fox is right on target regarding the patches, but that's their only leverage and when they try to advance to further points without a leg to stand on, that's when their bias because obvious.
