Pony Karl was breathing hard. He looked over to Human Karl, who was doing the same. "Now? We find a LPC." He said as he began trotting in the direction of wreckage. Human Karl looked at him and said, "I'll get back to the base and get a Jet. I'll be more useful that way." Pony Karl looked at him with a face of complete understanding. "Yes, that is the best. When my horn is back, we'll return here and see where they might've gone while we are gone. Human Karl ran off to the right while Karl started trotting directly east. "I'm not gonna let The Truth slip away this time." He said with a angry expression as he vanished into the forest.
"Ah, the Elements of the Ancients." OPIAT said to Tyro, "And you just so happen to be one of them, you are the Champion of Luck. And since you want to know more about the Elements, I shall elaborate, and you better sit down, this is quite the story: Over a thousand years ago, about 1200 to be exact, Equestria was a brand new nation, and also it was a republic. The first Mark, from whom Snow over there is defendant from, was named Snow Celestial Mark, and she was the republic's president. But she went crazy with power, eventually she found a way to turn herself into an alicorn, the first of their kind. She attempted to bring Equestria under her total rule, but one pony stood in her way, Tremalion her brother. He himself had found the spell to turn into an alicorn in order to face his sister, not over who should rule Equestria, but how. Over the next five years, the First Equestrian Civil War ravaged the land, with no clear winner in sight. In an attempt to break the standstill, Celestia, as she now called herself, raised her sister, Rena, to alicorn status, proclaiming her Luna, and with Luna, the Elements of Harmony where made. But Tremalion, who had since discovered me, knew about this, and had already produced his own elements: The Elements of the Ancients:Divine Rule, Fire, Light, Darkness, Focus, Speed, Protection, Force, and Luck, they where made to represent the powers of the ruler, of absolute power, in order to combat the Elements of Harmony. Alas, though the Champions of the Ancients are stronger both together and individually than the Elements of Harmony, when the first Champion of Protection died saving a retreating Republican army, they started to quickly fall apart. By the tenth year of the civil war, the last one, Luck, finally was killed. With Tremalion vulnerable, Celestia and Luna confronted him, and used the Elements of Harmony to cast out of Equestria, in what is now the remains of the External Kingdom. Also, the previous civil war was just a continuation of the first, Tremalion had hoped that once he had deposed of Celestia, he could reinstate the old republic, but the Resistance forced him to take full power until the final treaty was signed."
Fire walked over to Opait, "I've always wondered about the old champion of fire..." He began, "Do you think you could tell me anything about him?"
"He was very similar to you,I do believe he was third to last to fall. His name was Steel Wind, and he died trying to save his squad from certain annihilation in an ambush." OPIAT said.
"Ah, the Champion of Protection. Tremalion originally created it for his own bodyguard, but soon the Champion became responsible for the protection of the entire Democratic Republic of Equestria. He saved many lives and put the welfare of others ahead of himself, a very kind and gentle spirit, but a living hell if angry." OPIAT said to Dark Shine.
Human Karl dashed through the leaves, ducking under tree branches to not be swatted in the face with them. His Lithian prowess gave him the power to get to point A to B, and vice versa. He jumped out from a cliff, and landed in front of a human base. "There we go!" He exclaimed, brushing dust from his armor. "Good to seeya, Colonel Karl." The guard said as Karl stepped past him. "Good morning to you to!" He said as the doors behind him closed. He walked thorough several hallways, until coming to a huge control room. "Good morning Colonel!" A familiar face smiled at him. He looked at her, then nodded. It was Firefly, a dispatcher. She could make any calls that were possible, and didn't seem to fear whether she was gonna get punished or not. Karl looked at Firefly, then asked, "Can you patch through a call to the high commander?" Firefly looked at him, and said, "Why? 's there somthing important." Karl looked aat her with a stern expression and answered, "Yes, i have very important information about the enemy." He looked as she began typing on the keyboard. Within minutes, a large hologram with the High Commanders face was shown. "Report, Colonel." The hologram said. "Yes sir, i've got some interesting news about the whereabouts of our enemy." The Hologram leaned in to listen to what Karl had to say.
OPIAT seemed like he was about to respond when suddenly he started playing human communication, "I do believe our 'friend' forgot that I receive all information ever about this planet and all its inhabitants." OPIAT said as the human Karl's voice played through him, revealing his act. "I must go, from now on, I shall only allow those I know I can trust, Tremalion, and you Elements to see me. Goodbye." There was a bright flash, and OPIAT disappeared with a shower of sparks. "Well now what?!" Dark asked angrily.
"Looks like we found ourselves a new Talky!" Firebreeze said angrily, referencing a betrayal during the second equestrian civil war, "But this time, I'm gonna kill him!"
Pony Karl was searching through the wreckage. "Hm, i wonder if he told the High Commander yet." He looked up to the sky to see huge battle frigades moving on forward. "Welp, there's my answer. GOTTA MOVE!" he started furiously throwing the wreckage around him. "Where is iittt!" He threw away a large iron splinter to reveal a medium-sized tube. "Oh, there it is!" He picked up the tube and put it straight on the ground. "Now, to open it... hmm." He poked a at the hatch on he front, in which the tube responded by breaking and bursting as the Lithium Crystal sparked to life. "Holy-!" His mane blowed furiously from the wind emanating from the crystal. He struggled to walk up to it, and put his hoofs on the two tips of it. "Now to just..." He said as he twisted the crystal, opening it with a pop, and showing a small ball, tucked in and sparking. He carefully put two hooves on either side of the ball and brought it up to his broken horn. "Now... Viscem Vasa Kelvem." He said as the ball merged with his horn, causing his eyes to burst open, glowing and sparkling with energy. His body lifted from the ground as he lost gravity. He began channeling energy to the horn, causing it to repair itself. When he was done, he said, "Repair complete." As the energy left from his body in a loud boom. He smiled, and started trotting back, fully repaired, as he snacked on the crystal he had gotten by his human qounterpart.
"Well we can't stay here. Me, Heculius, and Snow will teleport us to safe areas across the ruins of Equestria and we shall work from there. It's too dangerous to stay together, everypony get with who you want to go with." Tremalion said. (Oh, and Firebreeze, my memory has left me, what was the betrayal again?)
Human Karl had walked back to the bunker. He looked down the entrance, and shouted, "Tallyho!" He then took a fire grenade, splashing the whole entrance with napalm, causing it to burst in flames. "That'll teach you guys NOT to mess with us Lithians! Hahaha!" He laughed loud and evilly as the flames increased in height.
Of course, by the time Human Karl had tossed in the napalm, the three groups were already gone. Instead, the moment the flames reached a certain point, a massive 5000 pound bunker bomb exploded, erasing any trace they might have left
"Well, that was... expected really." Human Karl stood and looked upon the crater of the now-gone bunker. "Probably Opiat that told them." He turned around, and saw Pony Karl trotting to stand next to him. "Well, that went swell." He said and looked at Human Karl, which was talking with the High Commander. "Yes. They are gone. How? Well they blew themselves up!" He closed down the hologram, and looked at Pony Karl, who was smiling. "Well, atleast they got out of there." Pony Karl said with a motherly smile. Human Karl had expected no less. "Well, what should we do now?" Pony Karl looked at his buddy, turned around and said, "Take the cruisers into orbit. I'm gonna have little meetup with Snow and the others." Human Karl looked at him with a confused expression. "How in the bloody 'ell are you even gonna find 'em?" He asked Karl. "All magic can be traced. Even teleportation magic." He walked away with a devious smile on his face. "You just have to know how." He walked into the bushes, and disappeared. Human Karl took a last glance at the krater, then called the intercom and shouted "Beam me up, Scotteh!" He disappeared in a few rings of light.
Snow had made sure that she had cast her disruption spell along with Tremalion and Heculius just to be sure that they weren't traced. It really just made it look like that they went all over the place, hidding where they had hidden from even the most experienced magical tracker. "So now what?" She asked those that went with her.
Tyro processes all of that as much as he possibly could. Which, alas, wasn't much but it couldn't be helped. "Thank you..." Right...OK. So, he was supposed to be the Element of Luck, was he? Heh-heh...Riiiiight! So, it's lucky that he's stuck here against his will? It was just good fortune that he attacked Celestia and was then exiled to Equestria? Clearly he's been on a roll with the Empire business, having made a sum total of naught affect on those worlds. All 400+ of them... And then his brain decided to annoy him. You see, there's the fact that he's here at all, in time to be of use. You see, Fillies and Gentlecolts, it's a miracle he even exists. There's the chance that anypony exits, of course. Then there's the intervention of that particular figure in the rose cloak. There's the fact that his abilities after that have been pretty handy. Then there's the chance that he's ever caught that ledge, or the narrow margin between him and a gunshot. It's lucky he's stumbled into people's business by accident. It's fortuitous circumstance that he's walked across what he's needed just in time to be useful. It just that it's extremely difficult to test whether you have power over luck, considering it's an intangible thing... "Sooo....How would I, or anypony, know if I was the Champion of Luck? Guess a coin toss everytime or something?" O.P.I.A.T didn't respond to him. He answered the other questions but then received a call from Karl. He'd wondered why it had gone quiet. They were teleporting out now, something about what Karl was doing. He wonders over to Snow, if only because she was closer, vanishing along with her.
