Have not been able to print out until now, finally I'll have it on paper! Or, rather, multiple papers. That's cool! I see a few are tips on paint, but most of them are quite useful! Thank you! Thanks...they aren't that great though. Still need some practice. Then again, I'll always need practice. No such thing as perfect, hmm? Except in the eye of the beholder.
Know what I should do? I should attampt the coloration of my current avatar. Yes, that would be good. This will end in disaster if I try it--somepony, convince me not to! Quickly! xD
You could scan it in. Then you have infinite tries to color it. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
I know, that's what I was gonna do. It's probably a bad idea to try to color a hand-drawn pic with a program, right? Or no? Either way, I was gonna do that. Eventually. If I do it right, I could color all my pics!
I think SAI would be a big help to you. Or any program that has a line tool. Coloring with a program by hand is a pain. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
Take that back! i r pro 20 second artist. Nonetheless, legionpics are better than what I could do... so there's that.
OMG, kakslakslajflhf Th....th....that is the greatest thing I've seen in my 21 years. *breaks down and cries* @legion, paint is not good in my eyes. SAI, GIMP or photoshop. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
I'm quite proud of my work. @legion Paint ain't so good. Paint.NET is a good alternative, quite like GIMP in some aspects. both are free.
Well, perhaps I can get one of those. But my fallback is Paint, so expect paint-worthy pics. Or worse, I don't really know. :/
Paint.net, for the win! If you're colouring a drawing, you could just do the colouring on a separate layer. Redrawing the lines shouldn't take long, you're basically just tracing.
That's why I say to use SAI. It has a line tool that would save time on redoing the line. Artist like Rain and Moonveil use it in their art. It works well and makes smooth lines. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
I guess. I just know it used to be helpful to me before I started doing everything by hand. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
Err... I'm terrible at explaining, so... err... Layers are like different images, placed on top of each other. It can be used in pictures to make making pictures easier, and also for making animations and the likes. (<<Dashie's mouth was on a different layer, for example, I just moved the layer around<<) Changing a layer's appearance or position wont effect other layers in the picture so lthough you can live without this, it's easier with it. You can use layers for if you want something to appear behind something, for example a background, and then put layers in front for stuff like facial expressions. So... Yeah. Have no idea if that all made sense...
Oh my gwash, it all makes sense nao! It's like a virtual transparency sheet on top of another one! It's so SIMPLE!!
