Hey. So I'm having trouble navigating through the site with this repeated image as my background. You all should know what I'm talking about, unless this problem is just from my end. It's pretty irritating having to cope it seemingly overlaying other text, making it difficult to read. Any chance this problem could get fixed? By the picture I've gathered that the admins need to register the domain for the site. - Jabe
I don't think I've ever had this problem... Edit; I feel it's not my place to ask, and it probably isn't, but I'd really like to see a screenshot of this- could you get one please?
I'm not getting this problem either. It's probably your computer. If the website takes long to load, you might wanna check your internet connection. But like DoDo said, i'd love to see a screenshot of this if you can. Press the "Prt Scr" button just above the Backspace button. You can then paste the screenshot into Paint, or any other similar program you might have. Then upload it to an image hosting website, or just add it as an attachment to your post.
Rarit E, DoDo this is how he described it to me, Yeah, it's a picture of a yellow frog in a transparent blue ice cube with the text "Domain Unregistered To view, register at: bit.ly/imageshack-domain" It's very interesting to me since I too am not having this problem. Maybe mike or Grey maybe better able to help, or some other fine fellows Rarit E and DoDo being two of them might be able to help you as well.
Yeah, this is probably best left to Mike or Grey. They know much more about this sort of things. I'll help if i can though.
It is. But i have no idea why it's only appearing for him. My only guess is his internet can't connect properly or fast enough.
Apparently the background was hosted on imageshack. When imageshack goes down, the image becomes broken. We'll move the image to our server (which should have been done in the first place). Thank you for pointing this out. Edit: Background should be fixed now. Delete your browser cache to get the latest change.
And if that happens again, I believe if you flush your dns, it will work again(have seen this on other forums and fixed it for me). To do that, just open command prompt and type in ipconfig /flushdns
Nope, it was on our end. We had the background linked to imageshack (not reliable at all). We moved it to our server so it shouldn't happen anymore.
this is either a conflict with your DNS or your IP is oddly blocked by ImageShack. Considering Image shack is 100% public, you shouldnt be having this problem. what i recommend is going to imageshack, make an account, then see if that does anything. if it still doesn't work, try using a new DNS, i recommend a DNS from AT&T, considering they are the most reliable. The domain has been registered, if it hasn't been, you could not even access the site. EDIT: i see that the problem may have been fixed. thanks. But it still makes me wonder why he was the only one. I am still stuck that his DNS server is unreliable.
Alright, the problem's solved now. Thank you all for helping me out, and just so you know, the quick action has made a brilliant impression on yourselves. Glad to be a member of such a secure and organized forum-base. ;D
