(this is not double posting. This is for Keeping the "contest post" clean.) I'll be doing one as well today. Hope It'll take a couple of days (if not weeks) for me to finish (for quality purposes). I wish y'all the best of luck as well!
The prize is really awesome... A free copy of an MMO? The only thing worth attempting this is the experience/fame and Deviantart Membership. I might submit something... Although I fear this is just a tad outta my league X)
1st place - $1,500 Cash Prize (USD), Wacom Intuos4 Medium Tablet, 8,000 deviantART Points, dA PRO Digital Artist's Backpack, deviantWEAR Hoodie of the Winner's Choice*, 1 Year Premium Membership to deviantART AND RIFT. The other two are winning similar stuff, just less powerful (2nd is winning 800$, a smaller tablet, etc.) Read the whole thing.
rofl, woops, my hand just slipped into my tablet case and put it in front of me. How'd that happen? ^^ Does it mention dimension requirements anywhere?
Not really, though it's kind of self-explanatory the bigger the better (I do mine in 7000x5000) Though, you have to make it look about 20 times bigger than an ordinary human, if that's what you're askin' for EDIT: View attachment 130 1 sneak peek. Around 700x700 in size. Around 10th of the whole monster's body.
You call THAT terrifying? I've seen bunnies with more terrifying looks on their faces than THAT! If I were to see one of those things coming at me, I'd be like, "Get outta here you poor excuse of a tripod before I sneeze on you." Now if it were a bunny, I'd be terrified. I don't want no giant boulders coming at me made of dung. NO SIR!!! :derpe:
They are fairly terrifying when you're part of a large marine or zergling force. You might as well right a last will then.
So satisfying, hearing the agonizing yells of the Marines and the ineligible cries of the dying zerglings... Oh how I do love that, so very much... Uh, pretend I didn't say that. Yes colossi very terrifying and obviously should win said competition.
Except you have to draw something original, so Colossi are out of the question no matter how cool, satisfying or scary they may be
