Now I'm not sure if anypony here watches My Little Pony, but I know I do.... So I don't really watch much TV because nothing comes close to matching the entertainment, especially because of these sell-out sitcoms on Nickelodeon such as iCarly, or Disney like Good Luck Charlie. They used canned laughter for Luna's sake. CANNED. LAUGHTER. You know your show's bad when you have to make it laugh for you with sound effects from the 70s.... These shows replaced several of the greatest cartoons out there, when do you ever see Mickey Mouse or anything like that on Disney? VERY rarely. Disney has lost it's touch, lost it's get-go, lost what it was in the first place. A world of wonder and family entertainment, and only on holiday did that come back, when the parks weren't themed around sitcoms, it felt truly like the magic of Disney animation, away from the brain cell numbing stuff. Something of Disney that has peaked my attention though, is Gravity Falls. Now this truly is a great show, a sense of mystery, awesome animation, extremely lovable characters, and hilarious comedy. I'll let you look it up yourself, but I can really recommend it. Cartoon Network has always had my respect, and they make even some of the more kiddy shows great, like that new Lego Ninja one, I was watching it for a while, genuinely interested in it lol. However, the two greatest shows are probably Adventure Time, and Regular Show. I really can't fit all of what I want to say about them here, but they're very unique, very funny, very varied, and have some of the best characters I've ever seen in my entire life watching TV. These four shows are literally now some of the only ones I watch as many of my other hobbies fill the TV watching gap, but I strongly recommend checking them out. This is all just my opinion by the way, I'm just recommending. So, have you found any real gems of TV shows out there? What shows do YOU watch?
Well, like you said, ever since the collaspe of truly good cartoons, I've been stuck watching real TV, such as Modern Marvels, Daily Show, How It's made, etc. In fact, for the past two years, the only cartoons I watched consitantly where American Dad and Family Guy. MLP FIM is the first 'kid' cartoon I have expressed true intrest in, well, a long time. So yea...
I love you <3 That comment made my day, Cheer up my little Coltnapper. When I become a big time Animator, I'll try to stay true to the wonder the 90's brought us.
I promise, if you bring back Tom and Jerry, if I complete my dream of being the cheif architect of the world's first mile tall building, I will find a way to include you in it.
That Will be HARD. I'll draw some influence from it back, but to bring back Tom and Jerry, to how it was when America was good at it. No. But don't worry, growing up in the 90's I have absorbed a lot of influence from them, the humor, the action, the animation quality. I can't Promise anything, But i'll try.! Now all I'll need to do is sneak in that un-produced creepy pasta episode where stuff goes Bat-S*** crazy.
Currently: The Daily Show, Colbert Report, South Park, Futurama, MLP: FIM, and many many blu-Rays. I don't really watch much standard TV. I catch Workaholics and Tosh.0 every now and then.
Yeah? Cool. Now that I look at it, I pretty much watch only Comedy Central except for MLP: FIM. I have been wanting to get into Adventure Time, Avatar (old one and Korra), Phineas and Ferb, and Gravity Falls. I just have to find the time.
well, only 2 shows that I regularly watch that are still on (beside mlp:fim) are The Big Bang Theory and Top Gear. I like to watch stuff on Nick and CN, when I bump into them/have time, but only MLP:FiM, TBBT and Top Gear are shows I plan to watch when they are on, so I never miss them.
Same thing as before. As for cartoon shows, Regular show and Adventure time are a few that I enjoy watching. I'm thinking of checking out Gravity falls. Seeing that you and Merri are always mentioning it. Unfortunately I can't find an episode on youtube :/
I watch a large amount of shows on the PC, but as for watching on TV, the only thing I enjoy is Storage Wars.
Adventure time is the dumbest thing I've ever seen. The only things I watch on TV is King of the Hill, now that was a good cartoon. I sometimes watch American Dad, but only when I'm awake. I'd rather watch Jef Major LPs, it's like TV except I'm actually entertained.
