I was just watching the "Call Of The Cutie" episode for the second time, and at the end, when Celestia looked smiling at her cutie mark, the weirdest thing happened to me.
I felt tears coming up.

I don't know why. For some reason I almost never cry, and especially never cry at books or films, no matter how sad or touching. I didn't actually cry... I just felt it coming, enjoyed it for a few seconds, and then gently 'pushed it away' again. I didn't really want to cry, for I didn't want family to hear me and ask what was wrong... Because nothing was wrong really.

I was just deeply touched, for some reason. And now I regret it a little I pushed those tears away...
I wanted to share this.

^I would organize funeral for my laptop

anyway, yeah, it's hard to get my tears up over a show, but once it did happen. although I didn't cry, but it was really close to it.
Last 2 episodes of Sonic X (Japanese Anime), since I'm TailsxCosmo couple fan,(they were officially in love towards each other, and just got to say it to each other in that last 2 episodes), and Cosmo's death stroked me hard. It's unofficially saddest moment in any anime cartoon.

Every now and then, certain things get to me. The final scenes from Terminator:TSCC hit me pretty hard. Then if anyone's played Mass Effect, when you encounter Vigil at the end, something about that brings a tear to my eye. I probably get a little too emotional about somethings but if you're able to connect on an emotional level, that means the writers did something right.

By far. But that's how I got Yeti here as a friend when I went on one of my tirades about it - remember that?

I'm the same way. I almost never cry or tear up at all. I had a reaction similar to yours, but from a different episode. It was the part from "Bird in the Hoof" after Philomena burst into flame. It specifically was the part when Fluttershy was saying that if Celestia locks her in a dungeon in the place that she banishes her to, then that's what's she deserves. I don't know exactly why, but I think it was a combination of the mood of the situation, the fact that Fluttershy, of all ponies, could be subjected to punishment, or something else, but for some reason, my eyes teared up a bit. I actually remember saying, "What is wrong with me?" while watching it. Confound these ponies! They drive me to show emotion!

This is actually an interesting topic. It begs the question; Has anypony else here ever teared up from any scenes in MLP:FiM?

I had a tear when I first heard "At The Gala". Partly because it was effin' epic and partly because it was the last episode.....oh, and Fluttershy being perfect....

I've teared up twice in two different episodes..~

The first time during Party of One, when Pinkie first went Pinkamina saying that her friends didn't like her parties and didn't wanna be her friend anymore. Since I see so much of my own personality and Pinkie and can relate to the story of losing friends like that very very well (including recently..) I just sobbed. Poor Pinkie ><

The second time was tears of joy instead of sadness! in The Cutie Mark Chronicles, I had a close-call when the rainbow appeared and Pinkie said "I felt so happy that I just wanted to keep smiling forever!"
I finally cried at the end when everyone was being happy over be united from the beginning in such an amazing way~ when Rarity said "We've been BFFs forever and we didn't even know it!", I finally teared up. It was so sweet, and it made me think about my amazing friends.

I love this show and this fandom X3

yes I have, in episode 2 of MLP, I felt them there in my eyes at the end when Celestia comes back. In the Cutie Mark Chronicles episode, every time they show the rainboom I feel the tears, I have no idea why the rainboom has such an effect on me.

This song has caused tears to form.

And that's it I normally don't tear up at all, but I also never thought I'd watch a show about ponies.

yay emotions

You know what? Now that I think about it, so did I, but not the first time. Why not? Because when I first saw the episode, I wasn't a brony yet, and I guess I was less inclined to have emotional feelings from the show. This actually reminds me of the thread that Setzer made called "A Brony Cries With Joy" and the story of the guy that once showed no emotion, but now does. The second time I saw episode 2, after I've been a brony for some time, the part with Luna and Celestia made me tear up a little with happiness.

@ePONYmous that's the same thing that happened to me. First I was like yeah what ever, now I'm like it's so sweet.

I'm glad people show emotions towards the show.

Yesterday, I was rewatching cutscenes from Sonic 06' and held back a tear from some of the dumbest things. It wasn't a SonicXElise thing (I hate Elise) it was the way that Sonic acts in any situation and the way he deals with things. Idk, but it always makes me happy to see Sonic act in his natural state.

I believe you've already found out. Welcome to the forums btw :)

Thanks for sharing these stories everypony.
I think I should allow myself to feel these kind of emotions more often... Yay for ponies!

I think i found myself getting close to a tear from the show was the At the Gala song from the best night ever episode. Man, was it magical. Normally, i don't usually cry to things unless it was a loved one of the family who died or a sad movie (sometimes) but to shows, that's kinda rare to me.

Nothing on the show has ever made me really tear up, but I have gotten choked up on to occasions though:

1.) In Episode 2, when Luna and Celestia are reunited with each other. That one part where they embrace each other, my heart was in my throat. I got choked up just thinking about that now!

2.) For some reason, In LBYS, after Applejack and Rarity apologize for getting on each others nerves. They embrace each other as well. I don't know why, but that little part in the epsidoe is just so touching!

Me too, sort of!

By sort of, I mean, I would probably tear up when I hear it. I'm actually not sure! We'll see what happens when I get to that episode again.

It seems that nothing on the actual show drives me to full-blown tears. The only times MLP has made me severly tear up was reading any fic that has sad parts in it.

Examples of fics that did this were
- "Bittersweet"
- "The Party Hasn't Ended"
- "Of Mare's and Magic"
- "It's a Dangerous Business, Going Out Your Door"

I picked "Bittersweet", "The Party Hasn't Ended", and "Dangerous Business" becasue those are three stories that have something that just tears me up inside, which I guess I can mention here, cause it is something that drives me to tears: Rainbow Dash crying!

Whenevrer I read fics where this happens, I'm depressed and just feel really sad for the rest of the day! Dash crying is something I just can't take when it happens, yet I can't not read stories where it happens! It also makes me feel bad because she's a fictional character and it pains me knowing that I'm not the one being the shoulder that she can cry on!
I just want to be there with her and hug her forever in that situation!

Anyway, I'm just rambling about that now.
