In a world just like Equestria, but different, there lies a city by the sea called Twilight City. Just off the coast of Twilight City is an island complex devoted to the research of magic and magitech called Magister Research Center. This island facility is run by the enigmatic Doctor Flux. One night, not too long ago, a mysterious purple light emanated from the research center, shrouding the city in an eerie, purple glow that lasted for several hours. Needless to say, the citizens didn’t get very much sleep that night. When the glow faded, many of the ponies found that they now had extraordinary abilities: Earth Ponies could suddenly fly without wings, Pegasi could reach supersonic speeds, Unicorns suddenly became stronger than a dragon! And that was only the beginning. Each pony that was changed suddenly found themselves able to perform extraordinary feats, the likes of which they could only dream of before! How wondrous! The ponies knew that the purple light must’ve been the source of their newfound powers, and petitioned the city’s mayor, Ms. Candy Tart, to ask Dr. Flux for an explanation. So she went to the island research facility in search of answers. But when she got there, she was surrounded by a ball of dark energy and she disappeared. When the darkness faded, in her place was Dr. Flux, himself. With the help of a voice amplification spell, he announced: “Greetings, citizens of Twilight City! As you may already know, I am the one who bestowed upon you these super powers! Join me in heralding in the New Age of Ponydom by helping me take the rest of this city! Then…THE WORLD! MWAHAHAHA!!” So, there you have it. Ponies with superpowers. Who’s in? Superpony Name: Real Name: (If applicable, not necessarily mandatory) Superpower(s): (Should be around Super Weight 2, 3, or maybe 4 if I determine that it’s reasonable. As an aside, yes, you can be Mare-Do-Well if you want.) Appearance: (What do you look like?) Alliance: Fluxite: These are the supers who joined Dr. Flux in “Heralding a New Age of Ponydom.” At the time that the RP begins, they will be inside the Magister Research Center. Sunsetters: They’re the ones who are actively trying to stop Dr. Flux’s maniacal plan. They are led from City Hall by Darkly Brave, Mayor Candy Tart’s Vice Mayor. Neutrals: Not really for either side. Maybe you want to make your own faction! Just like in real life, there’s plenty of room for grey areas within any given faction. Just because you’re a Fluxite, you don’t necessarily have to be “evil” or vice-a-versa for the Sunsetters. Superpony Name: Fireball Real Name: Inferno Superpower(s): Can Manipulate fire. Forming fire. Appearance: View attachment 5304 In a red wonderbolts suit. Alliance: Neutral. Short Background: Inferno is a sort of Pyromaniac. A pyro with intentions one might say. Another might say she only wants to burn everything. She believes that those who deserve the fire, shall recieve its pityless flame.
Superpony Name: Momentum Real Name: Twiddle Legs Superpower(s): Sudden movements in any direction, charging, gathering momentum on any plane, short-range teleportation, climbing, and multi-directional vision. Appearance: Momentum, after the mutation, looks somewhat bug-like. His mouth has pointy teeth instead of straight teeth. The irises of his eyes are larger, and he has four eyes now. He has a large, thick, deadly curving horn coming from his forehead, (one for war, not like a unicorn.) His ears are more pointed, and his hooves have become split like a goat's, but where the splits end, he has a slight downwardly curved claw that often digs into the dirt. He hates metal floors. He's a deep blue color with a black mane and tail. His mane looks like a buzzsaw going back along his head and neck, and his tail is short and unkempt. Alliance: Sunsetters Short Background: Twiddle Legs was named when he was a baby for the way he moved his legs. He never did like the name, but ponies in Twilight City began to just call him Twids for short. He was a sports jock, and a bit of a jerk, but when it came down to it; he always had the best of intentions. After the whole... lights in the sky thing... stuff hasn't quite been the same. He looks different, talks a bit funny, and can see so much it hurts his brain. However, he learned that even an earth pony can grow a horn. This one being big and strong... like something he could ram into others. He uses it like a threat though, not really as a weapon. Certaintly a jerk with a heart of... silver, at least. Superpony Name: The Lumberjack Real Name: Karl Superpower: Unbelievable strength, Lithian Power Words (Work like Dragons Shouts) and special axe techniques. Appearance: Grimdark red coat with a dark blue mane, black and same as coat red tail, dull, matte eyes and a broken horn. Has a blue jacket with a hood and zipline. Alliance: The Clockworks and FPIA (Federal Pony Investigation Alliance) Short Background: Was normal, got crazy and started killing everypony with his unique axe and hatchet. Purple glow had nothing to do with it, for he is cursed by yours truly, granting him the powers in the process. By the way, The Clockworks are a Top Secret organization that's run by me.

I would have signed up earlier, but my mother took me shopping for clothes directly after band camp (which ended at 1:00 my time.) Right after buying it, we spent and hour at Target doing god knows what with shoes and pants- You know what, I could go on for an hour discussing my mother's shopping fetish, but that's not what I'm here for, now is it? Superpony Name: N/A Real Name: Sips (short for Sippy Cup) Superpower(s): Communication & Interaction with the deceased (possibly to the point of necromancy, but I have yet to decide if it extends that far ) Appearance: Yellow coat, Orange mane, Green eyes, cutie mark of a bottle Age: Foal Alliance: Lightly Fluxite Short Background: When the "purple light" struck the town, Sips was cursed/blessed with the ability to commune with the deceased. The first one to approach her was the spirit of her brother who had drowned a year before. As she got more and more encounters, the sudden influx of ideas and influence put her mind off the edge, and she nearly killed herself. Sips's mother, who was given the ability to alter the thoughta of others, placed a barrier of tolerance around her mind to prevent any more rampages. Now, she communicates with the dead like it was second nature; but any breach in that barrier could cause her to go completely insane. Sips's brother (who's name is Sextant, you can guess his cutie mark) follows her around as a personal advisor and guardian against potentially dangerous spirits. Sips is very shy towards anypony who isn't dead.
Eeyup. The ghosts can't physically touch anything, but they can give her information and advice (or terrorize the crap outta her). The ghosts convinced her to join the Fluxites, but I said "lightly" because she's subject to so much influence.
Superpony Name: Pain Real Name: Vlomir Kasavic Super Powers: Super strength(Being able to jump really far and stuff falls under this right?), Can't feel pain, Steel skin(imagine Superman's skin), Increased(not super) intelligence Appearence: Huge by nature, orange coat, red eyes, no mane(though his short tail is black) cutie mark is a needle with red waves around it(his special talent is causing any form of pain), and wears a mask that covers most of his face Faction: His own, he was a crime boss before and remains one Short Backstory: Came from Marescow, Russia as a mercenary/crime lord. He came to Twilight City seeking to expand his range when the light occurred. Pain soon realized that the light had only increased his current abilities, but it made him all the more successful, now he seeks the destruction of the whole city, to ensure all but the most powerful and invulnerable survive for him to kill. Edit: If you find this guy reminiscent of a certain character villain from batman, that's because I based him off Bane. And I don't now what to call his crime/mercenary group yet.
I'm okay with this. Seems like Dr Flux has a little competition for control of the city. A little later, I'm going to post some NPCs and maybe we can get this roleplay under way!
If you don't mind, can I start with Pain in control of any exit from the city? Like Twilight City is like Manhatten and is on an island and he has destroy every way out except f by air, that kind of stuff?
Sure. Twilight City has three main routes leading away from it. I'm sure he could block the roads fairly easily, seeing as he probably has a lot of mooks to watch those places. The only other way to leave is from the docks. Keep in mind that Twilight City is a coastal city.

Alliance: Fluxite Superpony Name: Symphony Real Name: Dr. Melody Superpower(s): Creating Empathic Music (controlling emotions with music) Appearance: A white pegasus with a light blue mane and tail. Superpony Name: The Medic Real Name: Light Showers Superpower(s): Can heal any non-mortal injury, can take the pain completely away from Somepony, invisibility Appearance: a white coat, red mane, blue eyes. Reletively small. His cutie mark is the medical cross(His special talent is healing), he wears a Doctor's outfit that he customized to disappear with him, and also protect him. Alliance: Neutral; He is a self-proclaimed 'Doctor without Borders'. He refuses to join any side and heals without bias. He is just as likely to heal a fluxite as a sunsetter, a lackey of Pain's as likely as the common civilian Short Background: Light Showers was Twilight City's greatest doctor before the glow, after which he became the world's best doctor. He hates seeing ponies suffer and does the best he can to at least ease the pain, he operates behind lines, using his invisibility to sneak past even the best detection systems to get to the suffering. He is often (not) found walking invisible along the streets, trying to find ponies in need, and often times follows opposing armies so he can heal those wounded in the battles raging across Twilight City. Edit: One of the reasons he hates suffering is that he can feel the suffering nearby ponies are going through. And I just realized just how completely OPPOSITE this guy is to Pain.
