I got banned on Canterlot.com and have been on this site before but never joined until two days ago. The End.
I got three warnings the first one was for using someone's picture in a gallery without permission the second one was for saying the word ok too much in not just one but several topics/ threads and the third one was for bugging someone who un friended me.
I watched the show and decided to apply to a forum that wasnt gigantic and overflowing with ignored posts. And I found this place.
ok, story time: after I've became brony back in May 2011, I didn't actually intend to join the community. Only "community" I was in was cheezeburger network where I was active before I became brony, and over time, more and more members became bronies (a while after, mylittlebrony.com opened as part of site, so it's kinda brony communty, but back then it was general meme community). Anyways, around early July 2011 (around 2 months after I got hooked up on the show), I was feeling kinda lonely, and that I need to find some new people. Brony community was at top back then, and I've figured I could join some forum. So, basically, for couple days, I've just looked around brony sites, rada rada rada, and one day I've just Google'd Derpy Hooves (looking for some funny pictures of Derpy, and maybe some funny comic), but I've stumbled upon DerpyHooves.com (now DerpyHoovesNews.com). So, name sounded kinda interesting so I clicked on it, and looked around the site, and found link on Everypony.com. "Now that sounds like nice place *click*". First thing I came on EPR, and I've liked music they played and hang out on chat for day or 2. So, around 2-3 days hanging out on EPR, I asked on chat, where I can find nice active pony forum, so Zephir Wind (who was online in chat at the time) told me that everypony has forum of it's own. So I checked it out, registered, and here I am.
From the start: Same as Yetione here, I became a brony in May of last year, through discovering a PMV and finding the show from there etc etc. However, I didn't find out the brony fandom existed until like, two weeks after I started watching the show, and by at this point I'd seen all the episodes. So I hung around, never really did much, never made any accounts for it, ponies was just a side-hobby to something like gaming. I started getting more into it over a summer break last August, when I started making accounts for things like Youtube and other forums etc based on ponies. It wasn't until February however, that I had the idea of searching for a brony forum. Low and behold, I start asking about if there were any meet-ups in Britain everywhere, and eventually a nice chap who looked exactly like this Directed me to here because Merri was organising the Nottingham meet in the April. Bingo lingo clickety clicks, I made an account instantly, got hired to the staff late April, and here I am to this date.
I guess it's my time to tell the story of how I became a brony ok here it goes. For several months before last July I decided to ignore Friendship is Magic, I thought it would be just as bad as G1 or G3 when I saw the commercial for Equestria Girls on The Hub I thought huh it looks better than all the other shows and that song was pretty darn good I guess i'll give it a chance but then I went on vacation and forgot about it for a while. It wasn't till I came back on July 09, 2011 because I left the week of July 4th to finally watch the show and Party of One was on. The rest as they say is history.
MY STORY is fun. So, on the internet, fully unaware of My Little Pony. Came across a dead forum, had a Fluttershy avatar. 'cute', but I was a little confused as why it was there. I assumed it was MLP, as I couldn't think of any... little pony cartoons. So a few weeks later, it bugged me, 'why was that there?'. So I googled it and read half the wiki. Thought 'cool, I should probably see an episode, might be fun', STILL unaware of bronies. So I stayed up ALL night watching every episode (Most of Season 1), and thought 'I like this a loooot!' Decided to rejoin a forum I'd been to for a few months, but hadn't visited in over a year. And when I returned, there were a bunch of fans like me, and a thread. THEN I found out about bronies. Spent the next few months very happy on there, making loads of friends, whom I still talk to on skype and do stuff with. One of them directed me here. So here I am.
One day I woke up and came out of my room to see my sisters watching a pony cartoon... My first thought was WHOA that looks like a good cartoon. So I ended up really liking this cartoon but I only watched it when they did so nobody was suspicious, I was still unaware of bronies, but one day I was drawing a picture of big Macintosh and my sister says to me... "ew your drawing bronies?" and I said "what the heck is a brony?!" then she says "like a boy pony on my little pony" and a said "no they don't call them that" and she says "ya I've heard about that they call them bronies" so I searched it and it's a male fan of my little pony and my first thought was "awesome I'm not alone or messed up" and I guess a good amount of me being a full brony was the community, it's awesome... So one day I was searching pics of ponies and stuff and I came across this certain site called everypony so I go on I check it out, read the rules, but then I saw the chat and to go in the chat and to post... I need an account so I made and then I just sorta forgot about the site but the day I remembered it, was the very day I never left it. The end.
I honestly thought more people would have had the "Thought it sucked untill i made myself watch it to discover the awesomeness of it" story, seems like a lot of people here actually already thought it looked neat just at a glance.
What I realized I left out in my how I became a brony story was two to three days after I became one is that I didn't even know what a brony was at the time.
I didn't even know it was My Little Pony until the second or third day. It took about a week for me to find out about bronies. I can't seem to recall where I first saw that term though.

was actually searching for Swedish Brony related stuff, one of the searches lead me to a thread here and somehow I decided to register. you know the rest. =)
Curiosity. I wondered if a brony forum differentiated from other forums I'd been to much. At the time I joined this site I was still very active on Vindictus HQ and playing that game, along with League of Legends. Now I mostly just play LoL and the community on the forums is fairly terrible--not even remotely as bad as HoN or WoW, though, but it can be a pretty big turn-off with most of my friends never using the forums at all.
