Watching certain episodes like the Cutie Mark Chronicles and others that show the significance of cutie marks and the special talents they bring or are brought by, and then I look at what the ponies do everyday, I have noticed a trend. It appears to me that most ponies have a 'secondary talent' that though they are good at and have a natural knack for such things, they aren't their special talent. Example A: Rarity; her special talent is finding gems, but she has always had an innate ability to craft wondrous dresses for ponies. Example B: Twilight Sparkle; her special talent is magic, and yet she 1: extremely smart and studious (Though that is probably a learned thing) and 2: she seems to have a strong ability to mimic and use other ponies(more specifically unicorns) special talents, examples found are Dog and a Pony Show and possibly the love spell Twilight casts on Mr. Smartypants in Lesson Zero could have easily been learned from her foalsitter: Princess Cadence. I don't know, maybe I'm just thinking too much, what do you guys think?

I love that song... On topic that is sort of true, but their flank tatoo is really determined by their "Best" talent. It is never proven they cant have more than one talent, just show their main one mostly.
Fluttershy's ability is her wonderful way with wild creatures, yet she also has a 'freaky knowledge about sewing' as the show put it. I think you're onto something.
reminds me of that one episode where fluttershy watched over the CMC. SweetieBots... srry SweetieBelles talent being singing, sorta R&B style. AppleBLooms Talent is construction. And Scootaloo's talent is Scootering. *randomly got scared from blinking... what?*
All members of The Mane Six are very very good singers I absolutely love their singing voices. Princess Cadence is also a very good singer.
All of the Mane Six and Princess Cadence are very talented singers plus I know that Sweetie Belle is going to have a music note cutie mark similiar to DJ Pon3 a.k.a. Vinyl Scratch, Scootaloo is going to either have one related to racing or riding her scooter and Applebloom is going to have a hammer for a cutie mark.
In Equestria, everypony can sing like a professional. That's just how it's done. It's like second nature to them, or like whistling for a human.
My brother can't whistle. But there's always outliers, I'm sure there are (very few) ponies who can not sing. But I agree with this statement.
I can't whistle either not even dearing the whistle part at the end of the Total Drama theme song used for all four shows in the series.
Hm. Remember in The Cutiepox how Applebloom was mixed up that potion pretty easily for a first timer? Confuses me to think that she has 2 talents that are very defined. What do you think?

Nope. There are no such things as opposites. Besides, magic and alchemy go hand in hand, but one is the forefather of the scientific method. Technically, so is the other.
