Gaiz, gaiz, gaiz. I'm done.... I actually completed a full project, like the whole thing. Here's the EP version. Spoiler: Cheerilee <3
Thanks Turk. Shame I'm stuck in that same thing again. Everytime I complete a picture the one after it sucks so bad I just feel like quiting. The Vinyl picture, the AJ, the lightfire and one other. I've already deleted the last 3. YaY for me hating my drawings again. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
First, let me say you've got nice work with your eyes. The shiney eye-gems are nice... yes. For this particular piece, I think the angle doesn't really give a feeling of depth, but that's okay. That'll come with practice. The placement of the elbow and hoof actually makes it look more like it's floating, at least the elbow. The hard edge of the elbow, chest, and the extended back leg don't really look natural, since the weight of the creature, pony in this instance, would flatten out the point where the body presses against the surface slightly, (what with muscles relaxing down around the bone and such. Then, since the hoof is actually supporting the other hoof, which her chin is resting on, having it arched to be pointed doesn't really represent the support. Does that make sense? Finally, the middle part of the bottom fore-leg looks longer than the front section, which they should probably be slightly more evened out. Other than that it's just style preference. I hope the criticism helped!
There is more in the eyes. They have hearts in them. I made them way to light though. Oh well. The original idea had more of her back facing the viewer. It was bad so I scraped it. Maybe I'll give it another go. I see what you saying. It does. I had no idea what I was doing I just drew what looked half way decent. I'm trying to mimic what slugbox did when he made those skinny and lanky ponies. I'm just not good at it. What do you think of the shirt rags she's wearing? Also the shading? ***************** Now I have to say, did it help? YEAH. I'd rather have one of these then 100 "good job" seriously, thank you. It's a massive help. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
From one artist to another; I understand. I think the shirt has too many wrinkles. Unless it's a sweater, then it needs fuzz. The panties are fine.
It was a sweater shirt combo. I dunno. I'm bad at clothes. I think ponies look awesome in shirts. As for the panties. They are annoying to make look like they belong. But it's really my fault, they don't belong on ponies to begin With. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
Realisticly, they would probably want them. I mean, it would make a bit of sense for beings of human-like intelligence to have them. 'Cept then you run into the problem of them fitting with the tail. I think it would have to be a Y strap to really belong.
I dunno. If they showed up like that in the show it wouldn't be an issue. Could you imagine the rage that would come from something like that happening.
Well duh, they couldn't do it in the show. I'm thinking along the "what if they were real" lines. Though, I guess it could just be a society difference. As humans, we have built up our own sort of social humility towards nudism. Most of us at least. I suppose if you take it from the nudist's perspective, then yeah it would be possible for most ponies to be nude without any issues to it at all. Ah, sorry. I guess I've gotten off of the artistic topic. Yes. It would be weird if it were like that in the show.
