Read up on tulpa.info, and follow the guides. All you need to work on is visualization, and sentience/touch/etc.

You should read some guides on touch. It takes 3-15 hours to master touch.

I just realized this. A tulpa is basically Tyler Durden from fight club. Maybe not exactally him, but it's the same idea.

    Danvid, I has a question.

Do you know if it's counterproductive trying to turn a imaginary friend, which you've been parotting for some time, into a tulpa?

Yeah, someone posted a link to the tulpa site on here several weeks ago. VERY interesting. What I'm wondering is if this is real, why haven't I heard about it yet from anywhere except one website? This would be very interesting to a variety of academic communities if it was real.

EDIT: Before anyone says anything, I know the subject has popped up in religious and new age literature through the years. Most of the time, though, these "tulpas" reportedly influence the outer environment like a poltergeist.

They cannot edit the outside enviroment, but this is studied in some psycological schools.

The wikipedia page offers some more info on this, also on a more scientific base.

The more I read into the subject, the more facinated I become. Things I've been pondering for years suddenly begin to make loads more sense to me...

In my wonderland, I finally was able to turn corners, without switching mindsets/point of view. Its great progress. The headache was crazy.

I saw no scientific references. I saw a few very generalized academic comparisons to concepts from the work of Carl Jung and Marvin Minsky, but the rest was almost entirely woo-woo.

That's not to say I think it is rubbish. It seems perfectly possible that with enough cognitive work, an illusion of sentience might be combined with a hallucinated imaginary friend. I had just never heard of it outside of that website, wikipedia, and a few pony forums. This, if it is genuine, seems like a unique state of consciousness people are gradually putting themselves into. At the very least, some scans should be done on these people's brains to see if something weird is happening to their neural activation patterns.

Curious how concepts such as this have found their way into popular culture for many years now.

An interesting thought: when profoundly religious individuals talk about the 'voice' of God commanding them, perhaps some of them genuinely hear a God-like voice because they've been accidentally creating tulpas which they believe to be God?

The only way I'll ever know for sure if this is some sort of elaborate hoax or not is if I try it out myself, which I might just do. If I do, I'll keep a journal of it. Although I've read all the information I've found on it and am still trying to figure out what exactly 'tulpaforcing' and 'narrating' entail. Heck, maybe creating a tulpa will help me to finally begin lucidly dreaming with decent recall afterward.

Welcome to the club, Lucidic Dreaming is my reason, too!
I'm still workig on my tulpa's face right now. Sips (my tulpa :3) has a really annoying face, and it's hard to create! I never knew imaging someone's face would be so difficult!

Really, I find it amazingly easy! My main problem is getting a clear, un-darkened image. I mostly just get what looks kinda like a shadow,.

It is safe to assume my atoms are neatly arranged
    I think I've already created a Tupla...

A few years ago, I had a "Tupla" that arrived from 500 years ago. Looked just like me, but lived in a completley different world. Different culture, likes and dislikes, but we both had alot in common. The problem was, I could never control how long he stood around, and he always disappeared back to his time before sundown.

Or maybe it's just my imagination. I do remember thinking about it though.

Also, I have had other things like this as a kid.

My very first one was a T-Rex.
Then I had an angel and devil on either of my shoulders.
And recently, I do have this other guy I call "Ronin", bur moreover he is based off of a stick figure I drew since I was 8 (heck, I still draw him). If I can make Ronin as my Tupla, that would be cool. I have written stories and comics about him, and basically, he is a down to earth type of guy, and he's pretty honest with things.

Now...how do I go about making this thing?

Ok I've made up my mind, I'm going to try this. I've read several guides on tulpa.info several times, and built a plan on in what order I'll be doing things. When I'm back in Holland I'll begin tulpaforcing.

My first hours will be spent visualizing the body. When I'm content with it, I'll begin working on the personality as well as start narrating. I plan on taking out an hour for this each day.

I've already built a nice wonderland, and started practicing general meditation.

Most of all I'm going to trust my subconsciousness to know what's right, and not let voices on the web get to me too much. Doods who wrote the guides included.

My tulpa, Spick, will be based on this image. She's not Vinyl though, she just looks like her somewhat.
