I live in Georgia there's never any conventions or meetups for anything in Georgia or Tennessee for not only My Little Pony but anything around here, no anime conventions or meetups and nothing related to video games. (sigh)
Not true at all. In fact, I went to a meetup a few weeks ago. And another one's being planned for DragonCon. If you're on Facebook, there's a group I belong to called Canterlanta that plans events and meetups. http://www.facebook.com/groups/300168306725735/

I live in southern Florida and I know there's meetups that go on in Orlando and whatnot. I've never been to one before, but I also don't have a car or any money so I can never go. My birthday is coming up soon. Perhaps I will ask my brother(also a brony) if he would want to go to a Central Florida Brony meetup. I've never been to a convention for anything before, but I bet they're fun.
There's Dragon-Con happening next weekend in Atlanta. That's more of a general convention though. There's also Anime Weekend Atlanta (called AWA by everyone) that takes place at the end of September.
I find it amusing how you said there were no conventions or meetups in Georgia when there are in fact plenty of meetups and at least two major conventions, with a third starting next year in Tennessee. xD

Meeting the MLP FiM voice actors and actresses would be pretty cool but I would also like to one day meet some of the DBZ voice actors and actresses and the Naruto Shippuden actors and actresses too.
Um, there's actually quite a few conventions in Georgia. I don't know what you're into but there's; Momo Con -anime and web comics Dragon Con- sci fi, fantasy, gaming, etc Anime Weekend Atlanta Atlanta Anime Day Nerdacon Atlanta Comic Con Nightmare Night -coming next year Winter Moon Celebration -unfortunately cancelled for next year but they may try again Furry Weekend Atlanta Techwood Con Sukoshi Con and a few other cons that I haven't named. A few of these have been going on for years. And in TN there's MTAC Mephit Furmeet Nashville Anime Day Anime Blues Con and more that I didn't list There's even conventions in Alabama. And here's a link you might want to bookmark http://animecons.com As for meets, there's a few pony forums, but the kind of meets depend on which aspect of the MLP fandom you're in. MLP collectors from the old school have their own meets. There was just a meet for Southern collectors a couple of months ago. And then there are the Brony meets. -I know this post is old, but I found it while googling something else and had to comment.
