Well, I was thinking, everywhere has its own little stereotype, so why not talk about them? Basically, here you talk about stereotypes that get pinned on you, what fun you've had by just messing with idiots who actually believe in them, what stereotypes you have found that are true, and maybe poke a little fun at the other stereotypes here.

I'll start: As a Texan, well let's start with the obvious: people think we are backwards, homegrown, flag-waving, horse-ridin, no-city, strict republican, country-hick rednecks that would like nothing more than succession from the Union.

Now, let me tell you which ones are true: we are definitely flag-wavers. Go down virtually any street and you will see at least one american or texan flag. And the succession part, most native Texans, inculding myself, honestly think we would do better without the United States, probably a by-product of having one of the strongest state economies, even with the recent recession. And my brother once convinced this girl he talked with while fishing in Florida that all the stereotypes were true about Texas and it wasn't until he finished fishing that he dropped the bomb.

    So what about you guys?

Only thing that comes to mind is age stereotype. I'm 21, people assume all I want to do is just drink. Screw that, straight edge for life.

I guess that's a another one, people then hear straight edge and assume I want drugs gone. Wrong, I hate them, but if someone wants to use then be my guest. Your body, not mine, do as you wish.

Texans really like waving their flags. I don't think I'd like it there.

Well at least with Texan flag waving, it at least has some variety to it. Been to Wyoming, and literally, driving down the road it was, Hey an american flag, and another, and another, and another, another, and another, and another...

In my stereotype book I got written:

Russians are vodka drinkers and gun specialists.
Mexicans are border crossers who wear big sombreros.
The French lose every war in history.
Asians are humans with superior tec and skills.

People that don't know me personally (so anyone that isn't my friend) thinks I'm a geek that's obsessed with science and is super smart. I actually love to draw, and I don't spend all my time reading on how to answer every question ever.

    --British have bad teeth.
-Nope, come to America and you will see bad teeth.

    --French are wussies.
-No. They've participated in almost every single bloody war. They just haven't had a war where they were one of the sides directly involved.

Seeing as how look asain, everyone thinks I'm awesome at math. I suck at algebra and am currently sucking at geometry.
When I tell people I'm Native American, they think I'm going steal their money with gambling. I'm a terrible gambler.
Since I'm always the silent one in class, everyone turns to me for answers. This is partly true.
Since I recently moved from Florida, everyone thinks I'm some YOLO SWAG 420 GANGSTA. I hate those people.
Since I'm a brony, I'm labeled as a pedophile. I ask "At what point at anytime in the show or fandom did I show attraction to kids?"

Oh dear, my memories! I repressed that! What are you-
    Nope, I just remembered it.

While I was in Alaska, we went around through all these jewelry shops because they promised coins for a collection of 9 for free if we went in. There was a catch that we had to look through one piece of jewelry before we were allowed to obtain the coin. Most of the shops were nice and pressed to get us to buy some $10,000 bracelet, but we did well until the 7th shop. My God, I have never felt so insulted in my life. While my mother was trying on one of the pieces of jewelry, this snob asked her where she was from. When she replied "Kansas," he said "Oh, okay Dorathy."

I don't think ANYBODY realizes how much I hate the Wizard of Oz stereotype. I wanted to sock his face in. Every time I hear it, I get angry beyond belief. We Kansans are NOT people who get sucked out of black-and-white landscapes through tornadoes to magical lands!

Just realized I'm ranting, and I apologize, but it's the truth.

EDIT: In that video you put, I found the Kansas stereotype to be hysterical, mainly because it's pretty true XD

dunno. I guess a stereotype gamer thats immature, who would rather stay at home and play video games all day.
That is what my family over in Poza Rica think about me. Not to mention my older brother.

I didn't have issues until my Algebra 2 course. Never had a problem with Geometry, though.

To add onto the Asian stereotype, I'm a fairly active gamer in whatever I play. As a result, my friends like to exploit my partial ethnicity as an explanation for me tending to be good.
