I know this is a very controversial subject, so pleas don't rant about it. I am genuinely curious though...what does the average brony think about the second amendment. I'm from Arkansas, lived here my hole life. I love guns and so does my family. However, I'm not the average brony. Speak your mind.
Hello, Texan here: GET YOUR HANDS OFF MAH GUN! Just joking, but seriously, what does it matter? Sure you can try to use the shootings as a reason to increase gun control but honestly, if someone wants some else dead, their going to find a way, gun or not. So for me, I think that we do not need any larger control on guns than we already have. Oh, and I expect this to get locked, I give...mhh I'm an optimist so I'm going to say 3-5 pages, at the max.
Like OMG guns. Ewwww. Destroy dem all. itls not the guns fault that people use them to kill. So I guess gun control should be uped as far as who can get them. That really doesn't matter though. If people really want a gun they'll get one. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
Exactly. You always hear about shootings, but look at all the stabbings, beatings, hit-and-runs...people will find ways to hurt and/or kill other people. We're too...creative. And as for it getting blocked, I'm surprised its made it this far.
I was born in the state where you might need one just going around doing daily living, that state being Alaska.
We don't allow them except for hunting rifles, for which you need a hunting license and various other documents to justify you owning a gun. Some people get guns one way or another. It's not like Belgium has a no gun policy, but we are incredibely strict and careful about who's allowed to have a gun. I guess Belgium is small enough to keep it under control.
I think that if America tried a no gun policy (Which would be unconstitutional, and therefore extremely unpopular with the public), that since just so many people in America (Third largest) that people would get guns no matter what. It would probably just end up like the Prohibition, with guns.
There is nothing wrong with guns. It's the people that have them that are the issue. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
Exactly. As long as I can get my gun, I'm okay with many background checks, etc, if those said measures are proven to keep the guns out of the wrong hands. Though while guns may kill people, there has to be someone pulling the trigger.
I'm not against owning weapons, in fact, I support it. Living in Upstate New York, I've grown up in a family where we base much of our lifestyle on and around nature and hunting. Hunting is an extremely popular sport, and frankly, I love it. So yes, I'm a hunter, hate me if you will. As for gun control. Overall, I think it could be a bit more strict. It may help a bit to weed out potential criminals, and the honest people wouldn't be effected as much; but as it's already been said, if a criminal wants a gun, they'll end up getting one. There are so many weapons here in the US, legal or otherwise, that almost everyone knows someone who either owns or has immediate access to guns.
Just look at veterans, they can basically own any gun they want. But they kinda have already proven themselves by fighting.
But that won't stop people. They'd still find a way to get one. They always do. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
I'm not touching this one. I'll just say I despise the very existence of all guns. People may always find a way to kill each other, but guns sure make it incredibly easy. That's all I'm going to say about this.
