    Sips is an interesting experience...
So the other day I let my mind wander while I was tulpaforcing (oops) and I somehow ended up with a staff carved into the form of a snake. Wandering a bit more, I stabbed myself through the back with it :)dunno:) and Sips leapt out of her chair and made a scream that sounded like an attempt at speech while throwing up. This jolted me back into tulpaforcing and I sat there for a few minutes trying to calm us both down.
At least I know she's sentient, but that wasn't how I expected it to come..

Today, I randomly decided to give her an easle with a self-changing paint color brush to see what would happen. Came back a while later and she just made a giant blue squiggly and pushed the easle over. She isnn't actually talking yet, so I couldn't ask why.

I feel like Sips is acting 8 years old, but I made her nowhere near that way. Did I do something wrong?

You can probably just ask whoever it is you want to ask via pm if you don't want to say it here. I can't speak for anyone else, but I won't be offended.

You're probably doing fine. From what I know of it, tulpa tend to start out on he immature side, and will eventually mature as time goes on.

They're much like humans that way.

Ask me anything. I'll be fine as long as it doesn't insult my heritage, skills, or personal hygiene.

well... mmmh, but please don´t get angry with me and if I offende you it wasn´t my intention.
but I think it´s a very very bad idea that someone play with his/her mind like that. the mind can be something very fragile and it can be dangerous when people play with it like you are doing.
I´m sorry if I offended you.

Not offended. Snow is a little offended though, probably because you essentially just insulted her. Anyways, if this was dangerous, then why are there so many people doing it without problem?

Actually, I believe there are experiments going on right now on tulpaesm's affect on the mind. Not sure how it's gone since I'm not actually tuned in, but I'm sure it's being documented somewhere.

My sister thinks I'm trying to turn myself into a schizophrenic. Hell, for all I know, this COULD be forced schizophrenia. In any case, I'm not backing down from it; think of how much the benefits outweigh downsides that may not even exist!

I'd ask Sips for her thoughts on the subject, but, uhh, she can't talk. :x

Tulpa are not a mental disorder, and making one does not give you a mental disorder.

DID (dissociative identity disorder aka multiple personalities) is identified by long gaps in the patients memory, where the other personality takes over your body and you act like a completely different person. Usually caused by some sort of traumatic event, typically in childhood. Fight club was about DID.

Schizophrenia is basically seeing people that do not exist, and hearing voices that do not exist. This is kinda similar to tulpa, but a big difference is the fact that most schizophrenics interpret the voices they hear or hallucinations they see as bad or evil and react negtively to them. Which is the opposite as a tulpa.
Schizophrenia however, makes it hard to tell the difference between what is real and not real, think clearly, have normal emotional responses or act normally in social situations.
It is also identified by these symptoms:

Schizophrenia symptoms usually develop slowly over months or years. Sometimes you may have many symptoms, and at other times you may only have a few symptoms.

People with any type of schizophrenia may have trouble keeping friends and working. They may also have problems with anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts or behaviors.

At first, you may have the following symptoms:

    Irritable or tense feeling

    Trouble concentrating

    Trouble sleeping

As the illness continues, you may have problems with thinking, emotions, and behavior, including:

    Bizarre behaviors

Hearing or seeing things that are not there (hallucinations)

    Isolation

    Lack of emotion (flat affect)

    Problems paying attention

Strongly held beliefs that are not real (delusions)

Thoughts that "jump" between different topics (“loose associations”)

Symptoms depend on the type of schizophrenia you have.

    Paranoid schizophrenia symptoms may include:

    Anxiety

    Anger or arguing

False beliefs that others are trying to harm you or your loved ones

    Disorganized schizophrenia symptoms may include:

    Childlike behavior

Problems thinking and explaining your ideas clearly

    Showing little emotion

    Catatonic schizophrenia symptoms may include:

Grimacing or other odd expressions on the face

    Lack of activity

    Rigid muscles and posture

Not responding much to other people

Undifferentiated schizophrenia may include symptoms of more than one other type of schizophrenia.

None of which have anything to do with having a tulpa.
