Yeah I believe Mrs. Faust said that the ponies weren't given actual ages but the cast of the show was mentally somewhere between 12-18. Which makes sense as it is a kids/all ages program. So acting with the mentality of a tween/teen is a good way to help the intended demographic (and in all honestly most other demographics lol) relate to the characters. Also makes their growth more believable. The Mane Six, Spike, & the CMC are great characters because they mentally grow and mature (some more then others) as the series goes on. Although I would say that these fictional ponies (& dragon) are arguably much more intelligent then most modern kids & teens in real life, lol. But yeah the only legit info we do have is that we Know Fluttershy is a year older then Pinkie Pie, as mentioned in "Griffon The Brush Off."
Pinkie: 15 ( She's the funny one and probably young ) Rainbow: 15 ( Probably the same age as Pinkie, they are both full of energy and are party animals! ) Applejack: 17 ( just because! ) Fluttershy: 16 ( @Pinkie ''I'm a year older than you...'' ) Twilight: 18 ( Twilight where about 4-6 years old when she hatched Spike and in the first episode when Flutteshy met Spike she said ''A baby dragon!'', so the question is: For how long are dragons babies? Then i would guess that they are 'real dragons' when they are 4 years. So (4-6) + 4 = 8-10( Rule 34 just became worse!? ). But that sounds wierd. I mean, she lives on her own and her voice sound more grown up. My theories are wierd, I just wasted time and its more likley that she's 18. ) Rarity: 18 ( She has a job and lives whithout parents most of the time. )
@FFC: Personally I have a crazy theory that Rarity may actually be like RD & Pinkie & be on the younger side of things, I think she just acts older to keep up her fashionista appearance. But yeah all we do know is that Fluttershy is a Year older then Pinkie (as mentioned in Griffon the Brush off) Aside from that none of the actual ages are known.

I interpret this as "ay least a year older." Reasons: Pinkie is still bubbly. Twilight was taken as a protege around the age of six. Ten years as protege seems like a good starting point. Applejack is the in-between sibling who co-runs a family business. Your guess is as good as mine. Rainbow Dash has a full-time job in the weather patrol, but she has the brashness of a young adult. Rarity is self-employed and runs her store while watching her younger sister EVERY DAY with almost no parental help. Fluttershy lives alone and takes care of 9,001 animals. Every. Single. Day. But where does she get money for food/upkeep? <- Probably has a part-time job to solve money issues.

I always assumed they were around 17-21ish. xD I assume Pinkie to be 17-18, and we know that Fluttershy is a year older. Applejack seems the oldest and I think Twilight would only be a few months younger. Dashie I think would be in the middle of them. I think Rarity would be the same age as Twilight. Either way, they're all old enough to be recognised as adults in the community.
Pinkie seems to be around 18-ish as the Cakes didn't trust her at first with the twins. Fluttershy is a year older. Dashie must be of a similar age as Fluttershy since they were at flight camp together. Applejack must be a similar age to Dashie, as they seem evenly matched when it comes to fitness. Twilight may be about a year older, since she seems a lot more serious. And Rarity must be the same as Twilight since she's got this seriousness as well (could be a unicorn thing). Seeing that she was (or at least looked like) a teen during the time she foalsitted Twilight, she should still be fairly young. That is, of course, only if alicorns don't stay teenagers for a few or so centuries. But I doubt that.
Yeah plus it would be weird if a 1,000 something year old married someone in their early to mid twenties.
